Saw the film twice during the previews over here in England and thought the film was awesome Bay did a good job(Thought I would never say that).

Anyway me brother brought this up and found it really interesting, in the big battle scene just before the end we see Starscream take out all the F22 raptors except for three, what he brought up was that Megatron was hit by four missiles that came from different directions, so could it be that Starscream did a sneak attack on Megatron or is it just the military going all out?

if you notice when it shows an outer view of the city you can see many groups of jets. starscream just didnt get all of them. the situation is too dangerous as to take out one of the only reamaining decepticons. (even though it is starscream)

I'd like to think he kept some jets intact on purpose so they could attack Megatron. He himself might've dropped a missile or two on old Megs as well.

Because he barely speaks, I'd like to interpret his character from his actions.
