I cannot say I like the "look" of the twins. Nevertheless, here is how I imagine they will be portrayed in the movie. First, and most obvious, I think they are going to be depicted at total rednecks. The designs for their faces, from the unaligned eyes to the gold buck teeth, screams back woods Georgia (cue banjo music). I think they were designed this way for jokes, and I think they will act almost like the Stooges (there is a rumor about the Twins fighting with themselves as much as they do the Decepticons).

Now, here is the kicker . . . I also think they are going to be serrious tail-pipe kickers. The recently posted images of the toys gives me a feeling of toughness (aside form the faces). The Bots are squat and compact with large hands and brawny shoulders. They look like they can take a serrious wallop with out being fazed. I predict the twins will be real back woods fighters--rough, tumble, and willing to fight dirty (I would not be surprised to see a kick, or two, to the lugnuts.

Which, in my opinion, will far more than make-up for the fact that they look like Furbies.

I really hope you're wrong about the hillbilly thing. It may be funny, but I wish they'd just have nice sounding voices with no accents.
But if you are wrong, it actually might be even worse.
They could be like sterotyped gangsta, and the gold teeth is like a reference to their grills... B-)

But, heck I don't know.
I always seem to love movies like this even if things predicted to be annoying turn out to be true.
Hillbillies or gangsta, I might actually enjoy the gimick if there is one.

And as for being tail-pipe kickers, I'm sure they will be.

So basically you want them to be identical to every other transformer we've seen so far? And then we complain theres no charachter development. Sure its bad charachter but why not.

Quite likely after watching Bad Boys. Bay likes him some homies. We'll just have to wait and see.

and skids somewhat reminds me of a scientist?

so maybe we will have the im smarter than you/im cooler than you kind of relationship with the two of them haha.

as far as them both being really good little stocky fighters...i definatly agree.

maybe somewhat like movie jazz on steroids

Seriously, how out of date are some of you? Really.

Skids has one gold bucked tooth. That isn't a "grill" or a "gangsta" grill. Modern "grills" are platinum with or without diamonds.

There have been gold teeth for over a hundred years why you immediately went to "stereotypical gangsta" is something you have to deal with internally.

Jazz's characterization was a disaster in the first movie. Gladly, he didn't talk much. It was as if he was written by Jamie Kennedy.

Whether these two robots are some bumbling "Larry the Cable Guy" motifs or whatever they have the potential to ruin the movie if they are in the amount of scenes alot of these driving clips represent.

That's a bad thing. It's usually a gross generalization like for example the assumuption that all girls enjoy shopping for clothes and jewlery and whatnot or that all black people like rap music.

And you know what, I'm actually starting to wrap my mind around the idea of hillbilly TF's. Sounds hilarious, actually.

And here I am about to use another stereotype. I live in Texas (Stereotype Disclaimer: NOT ALL TEXANS ARE HICKS!!) and with some of the family members I have, if I lived on a farm (Stereotype Disclaimer: NOT ALL PEOPLE THAT LIVE ON FARMS ARE HICKS!!) you could practically call me a hick.

Just a theory on these guys...

Considering the rumours that the twins are first seen combined into a icecream truck alt mode its probably a safe assumption that these "brothers" are combiners.

I've been looking at the images leaking in and I noticed that each of them has one larger arm, and they are opposite sides. Each one has one larger eye also on opposite sides.

I think these guys will definitely combine in their green and orange forms. I would guess that the bigger arm and eye of each is a part of the combined robot form. Also since skids has only 1 "toe" and mudflap has 3 probably their legs combine together.

Another supporting observation is how stocky these guys look... They look like they are designed to combine and expand...

The twins are blatantly there to appeal to kids or people who just like goofy humour.
The only thing I'm not really feeling about them is skids' head
I think they cool rolling out in vehicle mode with the other autobots though.

The more I think of it, the more logical it sounds. Also maybe it's just me but the ice cream truck didn't look huge. Anyone know if the ice cream truck is voyager sized or deluxe? If it's deluxe then maybe they'll save them combining in TF3. I can see it now, the autobots test combiner technology on Skids and Mudflap and if it works introduce the Protector bots (We saw a possible Streetwise after Bumblebee trashes the house) or Aerialbots (We see Sam or Mikaela jump out of the air intake of an F-4 Phantom aka Fireflight).

Plus Sam was runing around with the Cube sliver so maybe made them alive? without transforming? its a longshot :-?

I hope the next movie has them, I would love to see Superion messing up the Combaticons(they would definetly fit into the movie)

The Twins were okay. They were annoying but funny. But if I had some power on the production or story, I would trade these two for movie Jazz in a heartbeat. Movie Jazz was awesome for me. I don't know how that ruin lives for some fans that are anal. But if I was a huge fan, I would have thought he was a descent character, other than the fact he got literally ripped in half(which was kinda gay), but he's way better than the twins hands down.
