Inconsistency of the ROTF Movie with the Prequels

In the comic prequels we see that the fallen is sealed away by his brothers in another dimension and is communicating with megatron through his sacrophagus, how come he broke free in the movie (no explanation given)? Also , in the prequel nothing is shown that the decepticons know of the existence of the fallen yet in the movie it seems he is already leading the decepticons. THe movie have therefore so many unexplained parts that don't tie well with the comic prequels. Hope someone could explain this to me. It is also strange to me how come so many primes cannot defeat the fallen, while just one prime eliminated himin a matter of minutes.

Prequels and the Movie don't gel together because the Movie is continously altered, the script changes and such. Not just with RotF, but with every franchise..

Because their must be a missing, unwritten time period, and Optimus Prime is welded together with awesome.

the fallen did say he employed deception. . therefore we can say that that at some point he did outsmart the other primes forcing them to take drastic measures. . .

and oh yeah. . . the timeline between the prequels and the movie is very long. . .the prequel ended when megatron crash landed on earth. so what wud the fallen do then.? wait for him to thaw out.? tha wud really be stupid of him and bonkers for us to assume. . so he might have made contact with the other dcepticons to fullfil his plans. . .

That's true for Defiance, but not for Alliance.
Also, Reign of Starscream doesn't jibe with it at all.
Now, I know, realistically, the comics are written based on some basic notes from the screenwriters or producers, so there is likely to be A LOT of disconnect between the two.
On the other hand, the novel and and comic adaptation go into more detail than the movie did, and the novel prequel actually makes a reference or two to the comics.
It would be nice to see the comics and novels used to bridge the gaps and explain these elements that otherwise just seem like plot holes.

The folks at IDW were just ensuring that you felt the same way about the comics as you did the movie.

The whole WTF factor applies. Plotholes galore.

Maybe the prequels were meant to confuse, not foreshadow ROTF; it's called the element of surprise as you sit in the theater

Prequal comics are like the movies of popular anime shows. They feature the same characters, but overall they have nothing to do with the main story.
