This is just sad.
What happened here is the Media took something Megan said out of context, posed it to Michael as a criticism of his directing, and being the smart well articulated understanding man he is....swallowed it up and just let him mouth fly fly fly away.
So in short, the reporters tried to start a fight it would seem, and Bay was suckered into it.....quite easily I may add. I find it funny too this guy (As a producer as well) would attack what is clearly the most marketable aspect of the film. I would argue it's even more marketable then the robots.
As for Megan, she said she would be apart of a third film being she acknowledged it made her who she is now. And Michael, again being wise and understanding, found it necessary to re-word that as "HE" made her who she is...along with Nicholas Cage and Will Smith and Sean Connery and Bruce Willis and any actor ever to appear in any of his movies
So Megan for the most part is going to be in the third film, though I'm sure by now she too is rooting for another director to helm.
Speaking of Directors, if you had to choose, who would be the director you would see pick up the franchise?
I like Jackson.
Emmrick also has a way with explosions and the Apocolyptic if Unicron is tied in. But he seems too impressionable by the marketing staff as seen in Godzilla and even 10,000 BC.
Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) would be nice being he has the same grit feel and action pace as Bay. But doesn't seem to mind developing a character or two.
Any thoughts?
