I finally saw DotM today, and i'm dissapointed with the treatment of the Wreckers.

Nothing was wrong with their character. I liked them as surly, unruly jerks with vaguely scottish accents.

No. My problem with them was the distinct lack of wrecking and ruling. They got probably as much hype as Sentinel Prime, and yet they were reduced to mere background characters. Even Dino/Mirage had more screentime! And he got to dance with the Dreads!

At least one sequence with some Wrecker-style ass kicking would have been nice. Just my two cents.

With such a huge line-up of robots, I was happy that they got the amount of screen time they did.

Besides, in this universe they're engineers, not a strike force.

I actually am pleased the "Wreck and rule" Wreckers stayed off the big screen. I prefer them without a dose of Bay.

I too was disapointed with the little screen time they recieved. even though they didn't get much action, they were easily my favorite movie characters. I was hook the moment they started speaking with scotish accents! And they looked so bad ass roling down the torn up streets of chicago.
Speaking of their accents, while i loved them and did feel they fit them well, i did find it funny that there alt modes were nascars, they looked like redneck nascar fans, (Beer belly, Sun glasses and baseball caps and mullets) but somehow adopted foriegn accents. (at least foriegn to the country that origninated Nascar) Part of me thinks Bay and Co. did this personaly so no one could pull the "stereotype" card on him.

They did get a decent amount of action though.

I mean, they took on Shockwave twice and lived that's pretty impressive.

They had their ship from the comics and accents from the UK. I would have KILLED for a "Wreck and Rule!" though.

I don't like the wreckers much. There's no explanation for them being Nascar cars, and the accents, hair, and especially beer gut make no sense to me at all and just seem dumb. I think they got plenty of screentime with the "We kill them all" scene, and they had some good moments against Shockwave
