The Scourge duo quest for the matrix bearer for there own reasons. Sunstorm wishes to protect the matrix's rightful holder and destroy the spawn of unicron. Rid hates all Primes but is drawn to the matix as much as his G1 namesake.

Who will the matix finally rest with

How unfair, G1 Scourge and all his sweeps were just cannon fodder, so G1 Scourge would be vaped in minutes.

Black Convoy could probably take Rodimus because he's more well armed, IMO a better leader (I mean the guy had to do most of the leg work in RID and he never bitched about it like Rodimus did.), better melee skills (Sword of Fury), and last but not least, compared to Rodimus, he had massive robotic gonads.

Though, it pains me to say this, Sunstorm would take down Black Convoy in a couple minutes at most.

Sunstorm doesn't work as a concept. The Scourges would destroy the faulty bugger. Rodimus has some pretty big guns and might be able to defeat the Scourges, especially G1. RiD is bigger though and has more guns. I think that this fight would be decided by motivation. In general, Autobot leaders have greater motivation because they're protecting people. Love trumps greed. I think that Rodimus can overcome the Scourges after a hard fight.
