Scenario 1: Ok picture the same open landscape from the hoth battle. There are five AT-ATs in a "w" formation pointing in the same direction. One kilometer away from them is Blackout pointing in their direction. He is in his robot mode. He can't fly in robot mode.
Scenario 2: Same but with Brawl in his vehicle mode.
They are allowed to transform
What side do you suppose will stand a stronger chance?

right then, the tranformers will win both times.
(possible movie spoilers)(possible star wars spoilers)
blackouts got heavier weapons than a rebel snow speeder so he could take them down with weapons, also i reckon blackout could survive unscathed plowing through an at-at at full speed and he wiped out that base in seconds with thoses blasts, if blackout had scorponok as well the at-ats would be screwed faster.
now brawl, in the star wars game Star wars empire at war:forces of corruption, my fave pc game, the pulse tank(search it on star wars wikipedia) can take down an at-at easy so if he amed his weapons at the legs he'd take them down easy, also if he got close enough he could smash em as they are kinda the same size i think, unless the tf's are bigger
so TF's 2 star AT-ATs 0
i know this because my three big sci-fi stuff are star wars, doctor who and transformers

Blackout could use his almighty chopper blades, to cut the legs off the AT-AT's, while Brawl shot the crap out of them, after they lie immobile at the ground. Or Blackout could use his EMP.

Brawl goes down fast and hard to massed firepower from several AT-ATs. Blackout might have some success using his maneuverability to weave in between and behind the walkers, but one hit one the propeller would eliminate that advantage. He could maybe take down a couple if he fights really smart, but would still lose.

I'm not sure about blackout's blades, if they're ment to chop through solid alloys, then they must be very sturdy, besides he can fly very high in the air, fly over them and then assault them from their behind either in chopper or robot mode.
Don't forget the AT-ATs on hoth had more armor than normal so they would probably take a long time to rotate.

They didn't do anything that leads me to believe they are stronger than normal blades. Also keep in mind that he was brought down entirely by modern human weapons, so even if his blades are strong the rest of him isn't very well armored.
Who said anything about the AT-ATs on Hoth having more armor?

He was broguht down easily by modern weapons becuase the movie decided that he will be brought down by modern weapons!
I personally think he was much more capable than what he was in the film.
I read on some website that the AT-ATs on hoth had more armor installed than normal thats why they were so sloooow.
AT-ATs could still target air units accurately though, such as the leading officer in ESB who shot down a snow speeder by having his AT-ATs back legs duck a little allowing it to pitch upwards giving him a clear shot. But we shouldn't forget how slow they were, thats the flaw that blackout should exploit.
It also depends weather he has any weapons while in chopper mode. If he does then thats a huge advantage. In the TF game he was equiped with twin MGs and twin seeking missiles but im not sure it that can be considered canon. If he does have any weapons in chopper mode then he definately has a higher chance of winning than the Empire.
btw I'll look for that website.

Brawl goes down quickly. He doesn't have the flight and maneuverability advantage of Blackout.
A frontal assault on the AT-ATs would end up with the ATs win. They may be moving slow, but have superior firepower and their "heads" can rotate quickly, that is how several Snowspeeders got shot down.
Blackouts only chance is if he attacks them from their sides with his grenades. Close range is his advantage, but his blades probably won't be enough to cut through the ATs armor.

Brawl and Blackout win by hacking the AT-ATs. Failing that, they go around the side or back. AT-ATs are slow to turn. There would be plenty of time to destroy all the AT-ATs.
