Ok, so here is the scenario.

Cobra has an island base, Cobra Commander is using (insert doomsday weapon here) to (insert bad idea here) so he can rule the world.

GI Joe comes in and stops the plan.

Cobra Commander, Destro, Baroness, Storm Shadow, 2 B.A.T.'s, and some random Cobra Troopers escape into the island wilderness.

Duke, Scarlet, Snake-eyes, Stalker and Beachhead follow after them.

Little do they know a Predator has landed on the island looking for sport. He pick up on Cobra's trail and starts picking off the Troopers.

The Joe team find the skinned and hung bodies of the Cobra Troopers.

The Predator finds and begins his attack on Destro, as the Joe team catches up with them, they drive the Predator off for now.

Joe and Cobra team up to take down this invisible attacker.

Can the Joes and Cobra work together long enough for them to defeat the Predator?

Do they go their seperate ways? Do they end up getting skewered and hung from a tree?

A few rules

Storm Shadow and Snake-eyes still hate each other.

These are the comic versions of the joes/cobra, not the cartoon versions.

They don't shoot lasers from their guns.

Destro is injured, but fully capable of fighting/walking etc.

Edit: As a last minute thing. Their radios don't work, so they are unable to call in an airlift or anything of that manner. They are completely cut off.

Sorry to go against GI-Jo and Cobra but I'm going with Predator.
Reasons why I think this
1)Like in Predator 2 IF he has a ship some where he is NOT alone he has buddies.
2)Predators are on steriods
3)They are born hunters
4)They have advanced technology
5)It's hard to kill them.
Last but not least is this
6)They have that cloak that makes them invisible.

Reasons why I think this

I think the idea was one Predator. Thus, all the statements made to keep the match isolated. And, if Arnold can kill one, and Danny Glover can kill one, than the combined forces of GI Joe and Cobra can kill one.

Yes, however. A Predator will hunt alone. If he has a ship, the ship will be filled with the rest of his hunting clan. They would not interfere in a hunt. Like in Predator 2, the only time they showed up was at the end to give Glover the trophy he won, and take their fallen comrade.

But you also have to think. The Joes selected, Snake-eyes, Storm Shadow, and Stalker. They all worked together in the past(were apart of the same unit before GI Joe I believe), they are hunters as well.

Plus the others chosen have their unique strengths to add to the group.

Will it be enough? OR will they lose a few people before taking out the Predator?

Well The Joe's Cobra's will win it. Storm Shadow and S.E. are both Ninja's so basically the Predator is doomed. Basically no one was able to defeat either of them. The only people who came close were Slice and Dice and Firefly, basically The two ninja, who may still hate each other will team up.

Basically in short, they will team up because they all want to survive.

Hmm... in the end didn't the predator lose to a soldier? I'm going for Joe and Cobra one this one.

Predator kills off the Joes and Cobras except Scarlet and Baroness. They accidentally discover the wet mud camouflage technique. They strip off, cover themselves in wet mud and then ... have a mud wrestling competition. Predator is pleased and lets them live. Scarlet and Baroness win, both against the Predator and their heterosexuality.
