anyone know if it's easy enough to remove prime's head without hurting the electronics? I was gonna get buster, and swap the heads with my original rotf prime.

Then takara do it for me, but want me to buy jetfire. Not sure if i can afford.

also someone else raised the point they're not sure if the cannons there, but they can't call it 'buster' if it's not that version, can they?

any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Okay, well I was happy with the Buster Prime I received for about two days, only to find a version with the faceplate coming out with an even better version of Jetfire. This is good and bad news all at once, because I like to have the best of the best.

Alright, now I'm really struggling to pass on this set. Optional faceplate for OP and a repainted Jetfire? Consider me super tempted.

Its not really an optional face plate is it? You don't get to choose if he has it or not. You only get to choose if you buy the set or not. The optional non face plate comes with the rest of the figure attached, is sold separately and will set you back lots of £££$$$.

You can buy the standalone Buster OP for the faceplate-less look or the two-pack for the "normal" look.

Awesome! Glad I've been waiting! Hopefully Hasbro will pick up on the positive feedback (plus the strong 'damn-its' of people who have already got Prime and Jetfire) and release the two figures themselves.

AND hopefully the voice-chip on Jetfire will have changed! I want to 'behold the glory of Jetfire'! The powerful Mark Ryan English accent, not a weedy Scottish-sounding 'Jetfire's my name'!

Does anyone know if the figures in this new twin-pack will have different sound effects/voices/phrases?

Hahhahahahaha. Wow, what a total lie from Takara. That's not even Buster Prime's original cast to begin with. That's just RotF Prime all chromed up. There's no BMFGun there, making this boxset absolutely useless for me.

Well, if you intend to keep this 2 pack in combined form, then the lack of a gun for Prime is a non-issue, as Prime did not use his gun in the movie when combined with Jetfire. To be movie accurate, just use the gun from Jetfire. You get the benefit of the nice paint job, chrome, and faceplate. It will look schweeet.

If you already have buster prime, then his lack of a faceplate is ideal for recreating the forest fight scene or for when he is not in combat.

Problem solved.

I actually like the head sculpt for buster prime.

Of course, my logic only works if you have unlimited funds available and can afford to buy whatever Has/Tak throws our way. That use to be me, but now that I have a newborn baby and my wife is not working, I have to be much more selective. *Sigh* I will just have to be content with my Hasbro versions of Prime and Jetfire.

Really? How can you tell? If that's the case though, I'm relieved. Not that I would've ever spent this much just for a badass Prime with a faceplate AND a BMFG, but still.

This is bad news for us completists. What is this, the fifth different version of the ROTF Leader Prime mould in just seven months?

I shall buy it, but I'll be more interested in the Jetfire, because I've only got him once already.
