Dyeing Light Gray Parts?

Is it possible to use RIT Dye to dye the light gray parts/sections of a particular Transformers figure into any color or does this rule only apply to the white parts/sections of a particular Transformers figure?

I would say yes, but: you can't dye to a lighter color (white, yellow) and starting with gray may make the final color darker. Best suggestion would be to test it first.
