WORST ATTEMPT AT A LEADER FIGURE IN MOVIEVERSE

How many of you agree with me that bumblebee leader is among the worst leader figure release under the movieverse toylines. Seriously, the figure is such a big letdown that eventhough I got him at discount he is not worth the investment. Among the things I have to complain about him are:
i) Horrendous robot mode look , with his hunchback of cyber-tron appearance.
ii) Silly backpack that makes balancing and posing him awfully difficult and not to mention makes him looks like a cheap kiddie gimicky toy.
iii) For that heavy price Hasbro cannot even give us two bumblebee hands WTH!!!!!!
Only the alternate mode is fairly acceptable though hardly perfect!!! How many of you agree?

I agree, BB is the worst. Even 2007 Megatron with all his flaws and lame alt mode was still a solid figure with a decent approximation of his on-screen appearance.
Leader BB is a junky toy.

Leader Bumblebee is what happens when you take everything that Battle-Opps did right and then screw it up.

I'm still don't understand why they made him in leader class anyway. They've already made 2 large BB's and I still see them on the shelves. Why make the same mistake a 3rd time?

Re: WORST ATTEMPT AT A LEADER FIGURE IN MOVIEVERSE
The biggest issue for me is that fact that buying him feels like paying $20 for a mectech weapon.
The problems with the toy is that yes he doesn't have 2 hands and that most of the bulk is in the backpack thing.
I would like him a lot more if there was more bulk to the figure and less ridiculous weapon.

I wish there was a way on seibertron where you could go through a list of toys from the TF universe, then click a like or dislike button. Because Leader BB would definitely get a thumbs down.

I'm going to disagree with the majority and say this is the best large scale Bumblebee yet. Ultimate is, without a doubt, awful in every way. Battle Ops was really annoying to transform and had the ridiculous translucent claw/hand. The proportions were also on the, to put it bluntly, fat side. This figure is lean and mean, has one of the nicest cannon arms, and has an intricate but elegant transformation (just like Leader Starscream). The backpack is junky, and I wish I paid $30 for BB, but he's still remarkably fun. I actually think he's the second best BB so far, just behind Battle Blades.

Agreed, Megatron was nothing compared to newer Leaders, or even the other Leaders of his time, but BB just looks all bad. For one thing...what's with that missile...THING attached to him, seems rather...weird.
Part of why I don't like him is that they wasted a Leader figure on such an out of scale character, but then..I like Leader IronHide so...?
Yeah I think it's mainly the scale that turns me away from him, with Battle Blades BB there's no need for a Leader...

I don't know if DOTM LC BB is the worst ever [ROTF Megs is worse in my book] but he definitely has the LEAST value of all. Out of scale, out of balance [with the backpack thing], and out of proportion. You'd think that as a leader class fig, they'd be able to incorporate a built-in stealth mode into his alt mode. Instead, he gets a large ungainly backpack.
And for the love of Primus, enough with the canon arm already!

Haven't bought a leader figure since Jetfire. I can't bring myself to do it, because I KNOW it will not stay out.
It was tempting when I saw a Leader Starscream at TJ MAxx for like $25. But I held true.
And the new movie leaders have not impressed me. Jetwing Optimus will be it.

I found one the other day for $19.99 at Ross and didn't even think twice. He's fun to fidget with. I took a look at the instructions and didn't even try deluding myself into thinking I could transform him properly though. Movie stuff just confounds me. I can do it but it's more like work than fun. Despite that, he's a good deal at that price. If you enjoy the movie figures, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not getting him.

Re: WORST ATTEMPT AT A LEADER FIGURE IN MOVIEVERSE
IMO Leader OP from the 1st movie is the worst leader toy in the Movieverse. What ugly looking robot ...
Regarding Leader BB, I already own Battle-Ops BB and he looks amazing in my shelf surrounded by the Arcee sisters
So, I don't have any need to acquire another leader-size BB.
Focusing only on the new DOTM Leader BB, I don't think he is that bad overall. What really bothers me is his canon arm. Why do you need a canon arm if you already have a mechtech back-pack full of canons and weapons ?

- legs proportions are WAY off
- details are all wrong. What's all that stuff on his chest/stomach?

Maybe its just his new cgi model. Until we see DOTM, nobody can really precise how movie accurate the new Leader BB.
Anyway, I deeply dislike his canon arm ...

I think it's because the tired out, overused logic is that "kidz luv Bumblebee" so there's a justification for there being a million figures of him, even when there's not only no need for any more or when they still clog shelves despite dissenters being constantly told that "kidz luv Bumblebee". Hasbro should just rename the toyline Bumblebee and be done with it.
Naturally, every thing under the sun is subject to subjective opinion, but hearing that Leader Bee is a let down warms my heart. The circular arguement is that toys are for kids, and parents won't buy six fighter planes that are the same but for their paintjobs because parents can't tell the difference, and that is some how supposed to be accepted as a justified excuse why we don't always get Seeker repaints. But, the movie verse has spawned more Bumblebees than an actual beehive would do, and that's justified because the kids want Bumblebees and main character and other such boredom. They've sold that Ultimate BB thing what, twice now, and how are sales of that doing? Now the Leader one appears unpopular and it may indicate that the BB overload ship has sailed, and for me, that sounds like a good thing. Bet we won't get poor distribution on the subsequent minor adjustment BBs like we did with RTS and Generations.....

I managed to pick up leader Bumblebee for only $22.50 and I'm trying to decide whether to open him up and keep him or not. This thread isn't talking me into it any. Surely there's no need for another Bumblebee, but I thought maybe he'd at least be a decently fun figure and it is dirt cheap for a leader... And the last two (Battle Ops and Blades) were both actually nice figures, surprisingly. But maybe even half price is too much for another Bumblebee figure at this point.
Anyhow, since I can't fairly speak to Bumblebee (who is definitely the most pointless leader fig to date,) I'd vote the blue Megatron from the first movie being the worst.
