While there have been many many cool designs and reinterpretations come from the movies, many were also just outright shameful.

Personally, I think what they did to Starscream is the worst. An ugly dorito with legs.

Ratchet's stoopid head and the ridiculousness that is the ROTF Arcee/Elita-1 toys can't be overlooked either.

i love em all. but that does not make me a bay lover. i love everything before the movies more than the movies. but if i had to pick, toy wise, ROTF megatron, CGI wise i would have to say my least favorite is...that hunk of scrap they call a robot BUMBLEBEE! I HATE HIM!!! :evil:

but thats just me.

I love the look of the motorcycle girls. They're incredible in motion. Once you read the reasons why Starscream is the shape he is, it becomes hard to dismiss his shape as bad design.

I get it, he is smart. He doesn't have to look like it for me to get it. G1 Wheeljack was smart, and looked like a robot. Perceptor was smart...etc, etc.

I'm not saying "Q" has to look like wheeljack. It's movieverse.......I get it...its different. But really?

Maybe the actual "toy" devastator. I'm hopeing a 3rd party makes something better later.

It's probably not really the worst, but I'll go with Optimus Prime's lips. His mouth shield is like kids pants these days...keep that sh*t up! Nobody wants to see what you're sportin' underneath!

I think what most people tend to forget:

1. ILM (the folks that did Star Wars) was involved in the creation of the CGI design.

2. The Transformers are ALIENS so they are metallic version of some aesthetic from Star Wars

the, I think it was the coffee maker? Can't remember exactly, but he had a freakin PENIS GUN! WATCH the ROTF kitchen scene AGAIN. he fires like either a coffee bean or a nut and it blows up.

anyway, as far as actual main characters go, the worst "BAYVERSE" design medal goes right to Devastator. I mean, way to bastardise the movieverse's only combiner. He was basically a giant slobbering puppy dog on all fours with a giant vaccume cleaner built into his mouth. and
wrecking balls? Really?
oh, and personally, I Like Q's head.

The absolute worst design was Devastator. He's NOT a combiner, he's a Duocon x 7. And as for the wrecking balls... THERE WERE NO WRECKERS THAT MADE HIM UP, where did the wrecking balls come from?!?!?!?

Nah- Let it all hang out on this one, IMHO.

Me- I didn't dig the way Starscream was done, either, but I got used to it. I did hate how his toy was done for the first movie, so it did get a little better for me.

My worst- toy and movie look- is definitely Devastator. Sorry, I didn't dig the whole wrecking ball thing, myself. He should have been standing tall and walking instead of half way crawling. And the G1 fan in me nearly died after seeing the toy. (Note: Sorry to offend those who did like the toy and movie character. This is just my little 2 cents.)

I like the little toy devastator, actually. No extra parts to keep up with, just six bots. Don't really like the head, but like how they all combine.

I hate them all Equally. They take the humanity and soul out of the characters the the G1 series had. You could tell what each characters vehicle mode was in Robot mode. Bayverse robots just look like jumbled messes in robot mode.

If I had to pick one though it would definately be Starscream he just screams Guerilla but I adore his Vehicle mode. Most of the Vehicle molds are nice it is the robot modes I hate.

Hm, I don't think there's any I really disliked, except for Q. Probably wouldn't dislike it as much if they weren't trying to pass him off as WheelJack...

Because the F22 is so big he would have towered over the others. So they made his body wider to make him shorter. At least that's how I understood it.

Back on topic I don't like Que, he looked goofy and cartoony. As for the toys I'll go with 07 leader Megatron. He's got too much kibble in both modes and I know they could have done better than that.

I guess that does make him scale properly. If he were normal width, he's be about 4 times taller fo-sho!

It would be easier to choose the ones that I don't absolutely hate, but the worse for me is Arcee/Chromia. The robot mode makes no sense to me. yuk. :SICK:

I've always had mixed feelings about all the designs. I think they're beautifully complex and overdesigned at the same time. Like most fans, my biggest problem is that they often stray so far from the original G1 designs that they shouldn't even bother assigning them G1 character names (which I guess is why they changed Mirage and Wheeljack to Dino and Q).

I think RotF Megatron's fat legs and spindly arms are laughable.
