I was the one who got the Kreon Starscream. I got him before I even bought my 1st Kre-O set. Now that I like the sets, I won't be buying the Kreons alone anymore. When I get the Starscream Kre-O set, I will sell off the Kreon since I already got him.

I've been finding open sets in the store. Some of them are not even bothering to buy it and return it. They just steal them right then and there. Carefully check any sets you buy to see if they have been opened and the Kreons stolen.

Thanks, I bought my son the Optimus set and the cheap Bumblebee without the Kreon. I guess he'll be getting a Sentinel one too since I will have the Soundwave figure if nothing else, but I do want them all. They are going for half the price of the sets on Crave....I always viewed them as freebies with the sets.

Since the UK doesn't seem to be getting Kre-os I'm holding out hope that we might see blind bagged Kreons somewhere down the line. Blind bagged Lego and Lego compatible mini figures seem to be doing quite well at UK toy retailers. Personally I've got a bit of a thing for Character's Doctor Who range.

If you want to do a Kre-o for Character Doctor Who set exchange-type-setup I'm sure you and I could come to some kind of arrangement.

I had to order Mirage online with my credit card points, but I still haven't found Jazz anywhere. I could get him online too, but I don't want to pay extra for shipping.
In the meantime, I'm loving the Optimus set. The fact that I can easily change the parts that I don't like is the best feature of a transformer ever. Not that I've modified Block Convoy much; there wasn't a lot that needed adjusting.

I look forward to seeing people show off more creative Kre-O constructs.

Re: Kreons!!!!!
So far Jazz is the only Kre-O set I have and I don't like him too much. I think it's partly that the blocky (hah!) style of the medium doesn't lend itself well to sports cars but mostly it's the fact that he's silver rather than white. Far too much pandering to the movieverse.

i dont get it, why would you send something back if you're missing a part of the set? so if you're missing the head off Optimus you need to send the whole set back to obtain a new head? ill try and get me some Kreons and post my results here.

You would need to send the UPC to them to get a replacement. They have to have something for their records.

I've no real interest in the Kre-o sets, just the Kreons. Also I've not got much in the way of swapsies from the Character Builder figures as I've either been hoarding the troop builder types or giving away other duplicates to some Who fans locally. I can buy extras next time I see some and sort you out at cost + shipping or some form of trade if you want, let me know. Also I believe BBTS is carrying the US versions (exactly the same as the UK ones but from the company Character and the BBC license them to for the US market).

So- it seems everyone is pretty smitten with the Kreons, not the actual sets. I like the whole thing to be honest. I think they look great posed together and I love the idea of customizing my Transformers (without welding, painting, etc.) I saw some really good customized versions of Optimus and Megatron on youtube. I was hoping they'd be more popular so we could maybe get a Soundwave and Shockwave set eventually.

I love all the sets so far. I have Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Bumblebee. I plan on getting all the sets but have trouble finding Jazz, Mirage, and Prowl locally. Wal-mart doesn't seem to be carrying these sets, at least not here. The only place I have seen those three sets are at Toys 'R' Us and they have been out of them lately. May have to resort to buying them from HTS.

After making minor adjustments to Prime, I want to see if I can modify Megatron into a better-looking Scourge. But with his back... cage... thing... and ugly barrel cannons, he's going to need more work than Prime did, and I don't know where to start. Has anyone else messed around with him and have suggestions?

Well i'm a car guy first, and bot guy second. So for me, the vehicle modes need to be up to par other wise i'll be passing on the set intirely. So far, the only sets i have liked have been Megatron, Starscream, Optimus, Bumble Bee and Prowl. AT this time i only have Megatron and Starscream. (I do wish Megatron had come with a tanker trailer).
part of me wished that Hasbro just sold the license to LEGO as i know the vehicle designs would have been much better. I mean there not bad by any means, but their not great either.

I found Jazz there. I still havn't found Mirage yet though. And I want to buy an Optimus Prime just for the truck n trailer mode. But $60.00 is a lot for him. But it seems though DOTM might be slowing down a bit until Soundwave and Leadfoot come out so maybe this next pay check is the best time?

Re: Kreons!!!!!
I think it's safe to say that most of us posting on this topic have been bitten by the Kreon bug. My question is have any of you decided to use your Kreon sets as kind of your definitive version of a character- mainly the larger (better) ones? I know for me I really don't see a need for Masterpiece Megatron once I've gotten a hold of the Kreo Megs. Why you ask? Well to me I've seen some pretty sweet customizations of Megs that make him look eerily close to G-1 Megatron. Plus I LOVE his truck alt mode which is a play on his DOTM alt mode. The thing looks outstanding! But I am really planning on making that my "main" Megatron in my collection. Not to mention with all the customization you can do you can make anything. Shoot- get a hold of some legos and build Optimus an energon axe, jetpack, etc. I think these Kreo's are the most innovative, creative Transformers toys to come in a long while.

I wonder if my Target has gotten Kre-O Jazz in yet or not. I can't really get any more TF's for awhile. I need to get the Target DOTM exculsive Jazz 1st.
The Targets here have a very very small Kre-O section.

Re: Kreons!!!!!
Well I got my Sentinel Prime finally and I have to admit that I am flabbergasted. In terms of fun items and features this figure is incredible. An undocumented (or at least underdocumented) feature is a pair of sprues containing little tools that can be held by the Kreons or attached to the various hooks on the fire engine. There are lots of little hatches, doors and flaps. Tons of fun. The fire engine mode over all feels a little less "solid" than a Lego one would (for example the blocks that hold the wheels are attached only at the top, not the bottom) but I'm willing to chalk that up to having to share pieces with robot mode. The individual Kreons are great. All around a classy purchase.
