Generations Thundercracker VHTF!
Of the generations line I personally like Wheeljack the best BUT I have been on a long quest to find thundercracker for some time now. I've been hitting a variety of stores multiple times with zero luck (wa state).
My guess is that this is due in large part to fact that his transformation is so very close to g1 thundercarcker and because his deep blue color is so great...? I'm sure that many an old school g1 lover have been stopped dead in their tracks after seeing this one in the toy aisle.
Are any of you seeing thundercracker in mass quantities on pegs where you live?
In the last three weeks I have had to purchase x2 on ebay for $20 each including shipping. I'm trying to look at the bright side in that I guess that has helped me save on gas some. I've been tempted to travel to other cities in search of him.
Oh and I've also tried the wa sitings section but our state is sorta dead..

I haven't seen much of him near me (over in the North-east). Actually I've only seen him once (last weekend) for the first time in months. I managed to snag mine just before the DOTM toys came out.
I keep find Scourge though. Didn't see him when he first came out but in the last few weeks I've spotted him several times.

He wasn't hard to find a few months ago. Just like you can't find Generations WFC Optimus Prime anymore, they don't stay on the shelves forever...

No, but the Generations line has been kicking back to life in stores since about mid November. Either stores or ordering more or trying to offload their stock.
One TRU I walked into had about 15 Kup's on their shelves when they've barely had 5 or 6 Generation figures in the months before. I saw Warpath in similar quantity and Wheeljack had at least 6 figures handing on the wall. (referring to a massive TRU - 3 stories - so their TF section is pretty sweet... save the over priced nature of being in a major metropolitan area :/)

But I don't think Thundercracker has been a part of the last couple waves...so it's pretty much no different than Thrust or Dirge. It's going to be hard to find something that's not being stocked. You're only shot finding one now is one that's been peg warming a while or somewhere was overstocked and an old case gets put out on the shelves.

But what I don't understand is...isn't thundercracker part of wave 8? If you see wheeljack then thundercracker should be out and about in stores right?
What wave are we on anyway? It seems to me that we are smack dab in the middle of wave 8.

I never stopped dead in my tracks for Thundercracker. I ordered him online at the first chance and as soonas he was delivered I rabidly jumped on him.
WORTH IT.

This ^
And if you still can't find him skyblast, this. Only $12+shipping (cheaper than BBTS, which is where I got mine when it was first up for preorder so long ago).

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

I can walk into nearly all of my local stores and grab one off the shelves. So no, not rare at all. You should definitely be taking advantage of Hasbro Toy Shop when they have things in stock anyway though. I'm over the hunt. It's a waste of time, fuel and wears on my patience. There's normally a deal to be had online for the new stuff. Save yourself the hassle.

Actually we are on wave 9 which includes Wheeljack, Warpath, Kup, Junkheap and Sky Shadow.

In a previous wave, Thundercracker and Wheeljack were shipped together. But as LC stated, the most recent one 'Cracker is not. And I think the previous wave was Wheeljack, Kup, Scourge...maybe one other, but not TC.
But as Flux pointed out there's hasbrotoyshop.com. TC is currently in stock there...now you just need to find another code for free shipping. Up until yesterday they had free shipping and 20%, but it unfortunately just expired.

Might be worth calling and seeing if they'd still honor that promotion. My wife called a different place about an issue she had with an order and they said they could still honor certain promotions if it was within 5 days of their expiration. No idea how HTS works on that front, but it can't hurt to ask.

According to BBTS Thundercracker shipped in wave 7 and wave 8. Wave 8 had Wheeljack, Scourge, Kup, Thundercracker and Warpath.
