I continue to get the impression that the "Armour pieces" can be left on Grimlock either instead of or as well as the spare hands - and perhaps even all 4 hands and the armour can fit on the torso or limbs as armour decoration somewhere or other.

Then I would speculate that the weapon modes of the Prime-Masters "Pretenders" can be utilised as claws and feet instead - looking at Cloudburst that sure is a gun - but I can totally see it also being a foot too.

The hands and feet are the armor pieces, there are not extra accessories. Also the prime master decoy armor are only slightly bigger than the actual prime masters making them way to small to be commoner extremities.

Speaking of HFA (Hand/Foot/Armor) pieces, did they explain why the Limbs come with just hands, with the feet coming with the Torsos?

I do realise HFG is no longer an option with the space needed the for the Prime Master

They make up case assortments but they can't force retailers to purchase specific waves. Duh doi

According to the Hascon website the transformers dinner started at 6:30 and there's supposed to be a look at upcoming figures so there could be some new reveals soon.

But they can't force a retailer to stock a wave, or purchase it, or make sure it reaches every single store.

These figures look great. The Optimus Prime has a very "Masterpiece-y" look to it. Also judging from the in package shots of Skullgrin, it looks like the blade piece is separate from the body, which means he could hopefully wield it as a weapon in his Pretender form.

Yeah, that looks a lot better already. I'm tellin' ya, all Volcanonononicus needed was some wider hips and now he's looking way better! (Never thought I'd be using that combination of words...) Though I still reckon those shoulders are gonna be awful to work with, unless there's a whole bunch of locking points that we can't see from the angles so far. They don't look like they're sagging anymore in these new pictures, so I suppose that's a good omen.

I suppose to save plastic costs? The only two options for feet, given that they can't easily do HFGs any longer for the above-stated reason (and would we really have tolerated more HFG appendages now we've seen what can be done with dedicated ones?), are to pack two with every Voyager or to pack one with every Deluxe. One hand and one foot per Deluxe would probably take up waaay too much of the allotted plastic to justify it, so I think it makes a fair bit of sense to give two per Voyager instead.

(Though that does then beg the question, why not do the same for the hands as well? I guess that would run into the same problem in reverse, where 2 hands and 2 feet per Voyager would be too high a ratio of plastic. It's kind of amazing all the things that someone must have had to think through to get to this point; I think I have an even greater newfound respect for the designers who work on these than I did before.)

Seibertron.com is currently at a Transformers themed dinner and we are finally getting the reveals promised to us in the preview images. Below you will see Power of the Primes Hun-Gurrr (yes, three "r"s), Moonracer, Rippersnapper and Optimus Primal / Optimal Optimus. This last one is very confusing since while there are drawings and designs of the deluxe Primal figure appearing as a gorilla, the grey models instead show that deluxe Optimus Primal turns into a cosmic surfboard for Optimal Optimius to ride on. Another unclear aspect is the amount of modes Optimal Optimus will have. The drawings show him in vehicle modes while the grey models only have him in robot and beast mode (along with surfing beast mode). Another odd detail is that Hun-Gurr sports a decepticon mask, but that may just be a placeholder. Notice that he also has gauntlets/armour made up of the combiner feet.

Optimal Optimus, maybe, but not Optimus Primal. I foresee a lot of people being ticked off that he turns into a random long cybertronian transport ship rather than a gorilla. I also foresee a lot of people making fun of the fact that its because John Warden designed him and he is allergic to beast wars.

I was wondering how Moonracer was going to be put into plastic, because her G1 animation alt mode is the absolute worst, but I have to say, I like this!

The space log quasar surfer mode is definitely an odd choice, but at the same time I like it. Maybe because it's hilarious?!

Man though! That Gorilla mode looks cool and the combined Optimal mode is outstanding. Love that they kept those big clunky robo hands.

He looks good and interesting, and I'm ok with his funkyness, 'cause I already/still have the other Primal toys.
