Except for it WONT happen... Not this movie. If such a tf was being made, it would have been seen by now. And bare this in mind, MP SS and MP Megs are simpler than what this'd have to be, and they are pigs, who are (by tf standards) easy to break. An MP anything from the movie will be as MORE EXPENSIVE, MORE COMPLEX, AND FAR MORE FRAGILE than any existing TF, Macross, or other tfing modle to have come out. It is not doable, and it will not be done.

I beleive I said the same thing when you got your knickers in a twist about wanting an MP Bumbles, and I bleive the majority agreed with me then too.

Anyone who's seen ANY of the transformations from the movie knows that any sort of 100% movie accurate toy is completely impossible. You'd need tweezers just to transform it! It'd break easily! All kinds of things.

Hasbro's stuff are mainly targeted to parents buying it for their children. That's the fact. And that's fine.

But don't knock the rest of the adult collectors who demand a little more from their collectibles.

Because, in the end of the day, if a Masterpiece movie Prime comes out (and i hope they do) - if you guys out there who find that idea so offensive ... well, no one is forcing you to buy them, are they?

Dude thats the beauty of it, it doesn't have to stop all the other lines or G-1 it just needs to be released for us fans who want more..relax.. its all good...G-1 will never die, and the masterpiece line will not die for g-1 either.. but to sneak a movie figure in there off and on would be nice for us too...there are more then G-1 fans out there, and this movie will be bringing in other adult fans whom have been away from the genre since they were kids, don't those Guys and Girls deserve a Masterpiece of the Movie Optimus that they saw and got into.??

I was thinking the same thing about Leader Prime. They probably want to sell a few boat loads, including the blue repaint "stealth/night" Primes before unleashing a MP one.

I am NOT a fan of the new movie designs, but would I buy a MP Prime, SS, Blackout, or Megatron?

However, I deem a COMPLETE movie-accurate transformation is financially and physically impossible. If I am wrong, I will soooo be getting one. But I have my doubts. I am sure it took hell on earth to engineer MP-05...I would hate to think of tripling the number of parts!

Anything with the name of Prime or Megatron, will eventually get done by Takara. So with that, I'm utterly sure these movie bots version will get translated into the MP Line. And if the movie is a big hit in both U.S. and Japan, you can bet Takara is on the drawing board.

I haven't purchase any of the movie bots as of yet. The only 2 TFTM movie toys that seem to catch my attention is Prime and Bumblebee. So with that, I'll wait from MP Movie Prime to come out then I'll purchase it. That sucker is going to be one hot MP toy especially if it has lots of chrome.

His Transformation is probably as complexe, if not moreso, than MP/20th Prime's ffs... Compair that to Cyb/GF Prime...

And I would probably end up buying one if I could aford it, becuase I AM an adult collector.... And apart from a little chome, the only real changes i'd make to the design of Movie leader prime would be rotating wrists, and the head on a ball joint (and maybe a better gun).

MP is still unnessercary.
It is still unpractical.
It would still cost far too much.
It would still be too fragile.

IT WOULD NEVER BE A TRUELY ACCURATE REPRESENTATION, AND DAMN WELL WOULDNT BE A MASTERPEICE.

I agree, and to answer some really off thew wall responses to what I am suggesting.. I don't think that Takara Tomy would be able to pull off "exact" transformation, but with the inclusion of "Automorphing" it seems likely they could include that in the MP Movie Prime, although I don't see it as a possibility..the masterpiece line up has always regarded the transformation as the gimmic ...

However, it's not too hard to assume that they could get a fair amount of kibble or "Little Pieces" as the Naysayers suggest, into the sculpting as one piece, as in say like with his chest or something, so that it looks like he has individual extra parts, but in reality its one piece of plastic.. i don't experct them to get his Movie transformation piece by piece, but what I'm looking for is a Proportionately accurate, Highly Posable, articulated, and realistically painted prime..

Take for example the kibble on Ultimate Bumblebee, now while the chest is atrocious and all, the legs are very close in the accuracy department, though very out of proportion, too bulky and too fat behind the legs.. what I'm suggesting is that they make an MP Movie Prime as close as they can get engineering wise, without the additional thousand pieces and raised costs involved..though if he were to be a higher price i would still get him...


now "imagine", if you have that ability, in the Masterpice movie line, Takara Tomy corrects the proportions and incorporates the "new 2008" Chest transformation, proportions, and articulation that makes him look closer to the movie version..and includes a "Battlemode" Bumblebee head..that would kick ass!!!


If you look at this toned down prime image that was released for the Lunchables line, it looks as if the proportions and such are right on target..but there is less kibble then the movie


Its not the amount of kibble added that wouuld help make the toy look closer to this design, it would be the sculpting and ingenius engineering that would help..



lets get one thing straight though, i don't hate my movie Leader class optimus Prime.. I love him to death, but in the interests of accuracy and color and chrome!! I would pay a little more for a Movie Masterpiece of what is becoming one of my favorite all time characters...

Ok, i agree it may not happen, but i'm talking about Japan here buddy..... the Mecca of Mecha?? If the japanese response is what i think it may be we very welll could be looking at a Masterpiece rendition of the Movie bots, i mean shoot, they still liked Michael Jackson over there, and Elvis for years, its no surprise that when something this huge comes along, they'll jump on it, especially since its hollywood's first Big Budget mecha Frenzy!!!
