I haven't logged in for years and decided to swing by to see what was left of the site as a whole, as well as the RPG. I've got a story I've been itching to explore, and even tried to create my site to run it. The basic idea is Cybertron explodes, sending out Primus' spark through the galaxy. All Transformers and a few others notice the explosion. Cybertronians feel it in their sparks while others witness it on scanners. Part of the story could be investigating why Cybertron exploded, with the majority of the story being about hunting down Primus' spark. This can involve Unicron, Quints, and, of course, Autobots and Decepticons. I even envision time-traveling Beast Wars characters as well as multi-dimensional characters from Go-Bots. Knowing this is almost always G1 centered, I expect the BW characters and Go-Bots to not make it on here. The Quints should have some interest and Unicron definitely should show some. Both of those can be introduced later though.

We have been talking about rebooting it in a form or another from time to time but alas it has not risen from the slumber it fell in.

Long time no see, Cry. What are the reasons for it not coming back? I posted a somewhat crazy idea above. I expect it to be trimmed back some to just Autobots and Decepticons. Idea #2 could be a more open-ended space exploration. We could change it up and have the Cybertronian Alliance and Quintesson Imperiliam. It is canon for Cybetraon to explore and colonize multiple planets. The reason for exploration could be resource gathering, curiosity, or any number of things. I hope NOT for energon since that has been used so many times.

Hey there. At bare minimum it is about how many writers we have that are ready to write again? And what kind of setting the people ready to write would like to explore.

What’s the minimum number required to breathe life back into the game, Cry? With yourself, Sid, Jaz, sumo, and myself, we have five people—I’m presuming—keen to play. Not a formidable amount, perhaps, but it still took a whole hand for me to count that far.

Bearing in mind the undecided setting, would that be enough to start something?

As far as I'm concerned, Drop Bear, we could do a small RPG story with the crew we've got now. For a typical TTRPG (tabletop), the preferred number of players is 3-6 plus the GM. If you get too few or too many balance issues, come up. Now, something like this, as we all know, works a bit differently, but I think the same principle applies.

I do have another idea for a possible story arc that would work well with a small number of players, with room to expand. You have the start of a new colony on some random planet. With the number of players, we could have a united Cybertron Alliance and introduce the Quints as the opponent. The Quints could use random mechs and the many drones (G1 and Energon) or hire a Pirate Confederacy to do their dirty work. With pretty much a blank planet, the colonists (players) can help create it as the story goes along. The Quints will have done a few things, but not to any major extent. I would prefer something different from Earth and Cybetron.

Hi all, it's certainly been a while. Hopefully, there are still a few people who peek at this from time to time.
After a little bit of internal discussion, we're going to try and push for a new start to this RPG. There's a lot of things that previously happened, and it's been a few years since the last action, so we're going to jump forward in the timeline a little and start fresh (somewhat) with the story.

I've gone ahead and put up a new thread that should serve as an introduction to the events as they are now, and you can find the post here. But as a tl;dr version: the Decepticons won the war, and the Autobots have surrendered. These developments, along with many others, have brought the Cybertronians back to their home planet, Cybertron, which is now being rejuvenated with life and being rebuilt, bit by bit. It is early in the post-war days, and there is much potential for things to occur.

There are two potential theatres of action that we are planning for right now.
1) Street-level - Autobots are currently being put to work for rebuilding, and Decepticons are acting as 'supervisors' or 'planners'.
2) Higher-ups - Decepticon high command fervently discussing the roadmap for the future of Cybertron, with the subjugated Autobot high command listening on.

For now, all previous Rosters will be cleared, so do post character applications to get things started. Hope to see y'all posting again haha

This of course leaves room for ventures outside of Cybertron if there's enough interest. However we did not want to throw away everything we had as a whole had used countless hours creating. Therefore this felt like a correct way to "reboot".

I sincerely hope that together we can re-create the magic that kept us writing in past.

Having returned to my old account to see the old rpg/fanfiction pages, I now have a urge to join back into the fold. I'm down for another rp if anyone starts one up.

But seriously, this sounds fantastic. I've read AFTRHR's opening post, and there are boundless possibilities waiting to be explored. I guess you could say my muse (which, admittedly, is still clunking into gear) responded very positively to it. lol I'm feeling excited!

Another one is starting up now. It is more of a time jump from the previous one. In my case, I may have to do some serious back reading to know what is going on. The current story is the Cons won, somehow, and now rule Cybertron. Both Cons and Bots are in the process of rebuilding the cities.

Would it be too much to ask for the roll call thread to be updated? I was going to make a new post until I saw my old one, so I simply updated it. I actually forgot a couple of characters I had listed on it. I know there is an overall spreadsheet that has the roster as well.
