It's amazing that of all the movie related lines, only the Real Gear line has repaints that are of a decent quality, they looks different, or better than the originals.

Yep. The cell phone's already been made twice, Autobot and Decepticon and now another Autobot.

The camera was already released once as an Autobot and now Decepticon.

It's really pathetic.

WOW...a THIRD cellphone repaint?!

Why not at least do a repaint of the Game controller one that looks like a gorilla (High Score I think?)

My son really likes the real gear line, but I'll be damned if I'm sinking any dough into these poor excuse for "new" figures.

Ahh... the enevitable wave of repaints. Annoyingly most of them are nicer colours than the origanals, but I dont think I'll bother with em.

You know, with the supply problems the movie line has had, you'd almost think they'd ditch it in favor of a new line at least partly filled with worth while molds. I do like the cell phone though, but it's not as cool as the Decepticon repaint of the phone.

The Real Gear figures are technically not part of the movie line (I know, go figure :roll:

) but I think we should see these three come out at a similar time to Wave 1 off the Allspark Power figures in early 2008.

I"m liking these recolors, more so than the original figures for the most part. I'll likely pick up at least the video game figures from Real Gear- my other inner nerd won't allow otherwise D:

Also I'm waiting for those bird-looking things to be repainted in Laserbeak colors. Would be cool for the soundwave kitbash I have in the works.

Maybe you should all just not buy the repaints if you hate them so much?

I really don't understand this loathing of repaints. I love the opportunity to pick up a mold I missed out on before. And clearly, there must be people who buy repaints, so why the bitching? Or does someone from Hasbro force you to buy them at gunpoint?

I think it's the disappointment of not getting any new molds. I can imagine completists having a ball with that, they're like buying the same basic toy multiple times.
