So I'm gonna say this, since you are basicly looking at everything in a knowedgly fresh manner.

I was 5 years old...almost 6 when G1 came out. I had some of the figures, which are still in my collection. After G1 was done, I could not watch TF so I took an absence from it until this past year. Nowadays, my collection is mainly G1 and Alt/BT with some movie figures mixed in. It is crazy that I went back to my childhood as an adult.

My collection is really an assortment of all the lines. I generally prefer beast figures or G1 (or based on G1) figures.

I was born in '75, so I have a lot of nostalgia for G1 related items. That's what got me back into the modern lines. Seeing stuff like Armada Unicron, Energon Galvatron, Energon Shockblast, etc. There's an odd exception where a new character/idea comes along and I like it a lot, but mostly I enjoy the figures most that are based on my favourite old characters.

Having said that, the lines I have the most complete are: G1 (almost everything from 1984-86; some 87+), Beast Wars (almost everything), Cybertron (basically everything), Alternators (missing 3) and the movie (close to everything).

The odd thing is I don't even really like the movie figures much, I've just gotten into the habit of buying all figures. I'm trying to re-adjust myself, though, and focus on cooler things.

I've also noticed the nostalgia with G1 figures isn't holding up as well these days. As I enter into 87's figures, this is where I started loosing interest as a kid and the cartoon started winding up and I'm thinking I'm not going to go too much farther with the collection. I may just call it a day with G1 once I finish the headmasters (or I may push to finish 87 and be done with it).

Unlike others I loose patience and end up buying more G1's in the year than I plan on just thinking to myself "well, once I finish up to here, it'll be good for a while", but then ending up just wanting more. Although, I do think it's finally getting to the end...

Being born 1973 I'm naturally a Geewunner. Although I consider myself an enlightened geewunner. I have almost every G1 reissue released since Fall of 2001. I've collected what I can for G1 & G2 because of nostalgia. The TF's from G1 may be bricks but they are the bricks I grew up playing with and having my TF adventures with.

I've got all of the US released RID figures & Armada. I've got 98% of the Energon & Cybertron figures. I've got a few Universe 1.0 figures and all of the Alts released except for 6 of them and even MP Starscream & 20th Anniversary Prime. And I've got almost all of the movie figures that have been released so far. Although I just don't care for any of the legend size figures in any line except for Minicons. Those are still cool.

Because I grew up wth G1 I dove into the Classics line like a kid in a candy store. For the Classics, I have all of the main line figures including the Walmart constructicons and the Botcon Games of Deception set. I just can't wait to get my hands on the Classics 2.0. Between the sketches at Botcon and the pic of Onslaught I'm physched!

If I were to be made to claim any line loyalty I'd have to say G1 & Classics. G1 because that is where it all began for most of us. And Classics because G1 + todays toy engineering = pure gold in my book!
Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!
