Why the animated series doesn't appeal to older collectors

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

hey buzzkill,
remember dr. archeville?
just to name a few of the human villans from generation 1

thats a shame as you are missing out on a lot of fun, expand your definition of a TF cartoon and enter.

I like the new animated toys, will buy most likely all of them, unless it just looks too awful. I say if you dont like dont buy. I didnt buy all the movie toys because some of them I just dont like the way they look, same with G1's.. if I dont like the way it looks I wont buy it... just because its G1 doesnt mean I have to buy it. Everyone here from reading these forums collects the way they like, wether its a certain series, character, color, style, so on and on. All we do here is offer our opnions to each other so others can make a decision on what we think. I can not like someone elses opnion but thats whats great about this world. I see your point and I have mine sometimes they agree sometimes not, but In the end we all collect and enjoy TF's

oh and forgot to add I like the cartoon also

good points, when i buy i toy its because i like it for its own qualities, i dont care who the character is or if i like that character or what the toyline is. Overall i hate (i really dont like the overdesign of them)the movie toys but i love target repaint jazz, overall from what ive ssen i love the animation toys but i dont care for lockdown. I try my best not to be a generaliser, generally!!

The reason would be that it was made for younger viewers and collectors but hey that was what they said about Beast Wars and now G1 fans love it. Just wait a few more episodes and we'll start to see some praise from die hards. Heck I started collecting Transformers since G2 and I love the series. 8)

the show is great, great, and of course great. i am a young collector. but, i love G1. but i think it is time for some fresh ideas: animated!!! i love BW and i love animated. i agree with one of the toy opinions. if you dont like it, dont buy it. also all these peeps who dont like animated: go sit in a closet somewhere and watch G1 while we have fun watching and collecting animated. i am gunna get tons of the toys. they look great! it is a great improvement:" toys that actually look like the characters on TV. so up yours

The Only reason I'm not buying them is because they Aren't available yet! After they come available I will be buying them, oh yes! I actuality am kind of excited that all the toys will be deluxes and voyagers. That means collecting all the toys you want won't be quite as pricey as it was in the past, and the toys just look really cool.

I"m 28 years old, and yes the line does appeal to me.
