I'm not sure that he is, but you could say he a G2 Mixmaster, but his coloring reminds me a lot of Micromaster Erector.

I'm not digging the repaints at all. I already have Cybertron Soundwave, and thought he was a pretty creative update for the character. Not liking this mold for Blaster at all.

Being a cement truck, it could've possibly been an homage to micromaster Take Down- and they might not have been able to get a copyright on that name. Then again, the colors are nothing like Take Down so I'm probably wrong.

As for Blaster.. I cannot believe it, its juts incredibly Ironic.

When the Soundwave Mold first saw the light of day, everyone was like, "Way cool", "I wonder if they'll make a Blaster repaint". Kitbashers were repainting Soundwave into Blaster left and right.
Everybody was like OMG Hasbro should do this.

And now that Hasbro finally does it, then its sucks?

Yes I agree the head should have been changed.

But if his transformable bomb/partner turns out to be a lion or something cool like that, then its going to be a good Repaint.

Its weird how the fandom changes towards a mold.

Like the positivity, although i gotta say, like everyone else, i'm pretty dissappointed. When I first saw the news (before it said repaint) I was like ZOMG classics blaster, which meant there was a possibilty for a real classics soundwave too. guess not. oh well, it's still a possible purchase

the end of the day, the deceptacon jets are all repaints and people complain that they have to have ALL of them, so poop to them. Im gonna buy it, and hell at least he's kept his colours, some dont even get to do that, energon cliffjumper anyone!!!

Don't jump to conclusions. You're forgetting that many of us thought, "Hmm, that jet mould is kinda cool, but it doesn't feel/suit Soundwave." Well those of us who felt that way aren't too pleased with this Blaster decision...

I was hoping for a serious remould of the Titanium Soundwave, without diecast nor diaper. But hey, that's just me.

Yes, it says on the WizardUniverse.com page above all the pics that Blaster comes with a transforming bomb.

Granted, since Hasbro couldn't be bothered to give Blaster his own head, then the bomb is probably just a repaint of Lazerbeak, even though Blaster never had any flying minions, as far as I can remember.

However, I still like Blaster. He's NOT Blaster, though, so I'll just call him something else. If anyone has an idea of what I could call a black, gray, and red Autobot plane, PM me.

I love all of the new molds, and I'm getting every one. I even like Powerglide. Yes, white and red kinda look funky on him in bot mode, but he looks *AWESOME* in jet mode. Love him!

The only one I won't be getting is the Quickmix repaint, Heavy Duty. Not feeling him at all. There were a lot of awesome molds in the Cybertron line, so you would think they could have found someone better than Quickmix to repaint. I remember Quickmix being a shelfwarmer when he was released the first time, so I doubt he'll do much better as Heavy Load.

Still, 6 out of 7 really is not bad.
