So I swapped the engines on Incinerator...

Good lord that was a chore...
Several fiddly bits and hampering use of those accursed pins.

The only permanent mod was to trim that little "riveted tab"
near the engine pivots. Now it looks correct in altmode.

Anybody else do this yet?

PITA, right? I have a Kitbash thread about it:

No alt mode pics, I just realized- duh on me.

The riveted tab, is that the little piece of wing behind the engine w/ simulated rivets? I left it on but trimmed the underside so the engine would rotate. It's a nice little bit of detail, I couldn't stand to lop it off completely.

Alt mode accuracy FTW.

Performed the same surgery on my MD-22 Incinerator and it looks
damned fine if I do say so myself. I also noticed that if you
swap the engines the rotors spin the correct direction.

I'd also like, if it pleases the court to submit the following
rebuttal on the Jazz-hands issue. Sit down and watch the film
"The Black Hole" You won't look at Incinerator's "hands" the
same way.
