After seeing the photos all I can say is that there are far, far to many repaints. This is even after Hasbro promised us no repaints. Granted they looked good but I'll be avoiding them. Thankfully we have new Legends exclusives to look forward to and those are basically the only way I ever see them.

Targetmaster Cyclonus!! *faints*

I hope he is as awesome as he sounds! I am no fan of the rather gimmick-laden Target/HeadMasters serieses(is that a word??), I am ALWAYS up for a non-helicopter version of Cyclonus (G1 Cyc was a sentimental favorite of mine)! As soon as I see pics will judge how fast I go into the poorhouse to get this figure!

I believe that Hasbro promised that Universe would contain about half repaints at the last Botcon.

You know what those repaints do? They allow us to get all of those other cool molds like Hound and Cyclonus. Just wait until you guys get to see the pics of them, they're amazing looking.

I've got a few questions about the universe Cheetor.

1) It said on the first page his tail becomes his weapon I want to know what kind of weapon is it a melee weapon like a sword or a gun like the original had?.

2) How articulated is he in his beast mode because he wasn't very originaly.

3) Is cheetor his original, transmetal or transmetal 2 form.

I would like to know because cheetor was my favourite toy from beast wars and i'm trying to make a mental image in my head and struggling.

They promised no Universe Classics repaints!
What you have to understand is, that this new Universe line is made up of Classics and other stuff, while the classics line will be full of new molds, well at least the first line, the other universe figures will be repaints.

His tail weapon is just his tail in his hand so it would be like a club. He looks to be fairly well articulated in all modes and he is in his original form.

it´s dissapointing how seibertron staff doesn´t even bother describing cyclonus.

By the way,SOMEONE must have been able to sneak a few snapshots of cyclonus,i know someone has to.

No those pics will not surface until either Hasbro releases them themselves or they debut at SDCC, like last year. If a single picture surfaces on the internet, Hasbro will never give us a preview like we've been getting again. They said as much and very directly as well.

As for Cyclonus, he looks pretty much perfect. He's a darker blue/purple but he looks like the cartoon.

How would you compare it to the Jizai toys one? I never got that one because I'm not into unofficial toys, but if Hasbro did something on par with that, that would be pretty cool.

Dude, when I say perfect, I mean perfect. The Jizai toys one is cool, but it is actually put to shame by the pics that we saw. They even went so far as to make the targetmaster to be either put in his hand or plugged over his hand like the Japanese cartoon. It's all win.

If we don't get Uni Classics repaints, how would you like them to handle Bluestreak and Sideswipe?

Don't know if this has been discussed earlier, but the stuff from yesterday's Animated should be added to the main post too. Only cartoon images were shown, but they will have toys.

Blurr-kind of looks like a cross between Transtech Cheetor and Animated Prowl.
Jetfire and Jetstorm-look to be the exact same except for the head. Jet modes reminicent of Star Saber's. Jetifre represents fire and Jetstorm represents ice. They're supposed to combine in some way too. I suspect they'll be like the Energon Autobot combiners. May even use the same connectors. Could also combine in jet mode too.
Powered-up Prowl-looks to be same mold but with a side car that transforms into samurai armor.
Perceptor-Looks like G1, just "Animated" and with a bigger head.

That's all I remember.

Cyclonus was my total mark out moment. I seriously jumped out of my seat. He looks far superior to the Jizai toys versions, but that is really anime accurate. Uni Cyclonus is a little masterpiece and his targetmaster concept as to be held or attached on the hand itself is so thoughful to the fans. Hasbro looks to be paying attention.

I haven't checked around but no one so far has mention Armada Hotshot being redone to Universe. I never liked that mold, but the new tweeked/updated design is an extremely pleasant surprise. His weapons were held like to tonfas.

I heard about that at TFW yesterday, sounds really good to me. That toy needed to be redone pretty bad.

yay! classics bluestreak, sideswipe, ironhide and cyclonus! have seen some shots of the first three, so i'm intrigued by the thought of how good cyclonus could be!
