I would love to have the Botcon seekers mass released, but it's just not going to happen. It would simply piss off too many people. It'll immediately tick off the people who went to Botcon 07, as they went there and paid big bucks for everything. The seekers are also figures showcasing that they went there.

The Botcon seekers being mass released will also tick off many of the non-Botconers who ended up paying big bucks to get the package sent to them, or other non-Botconers who spent even bigger bucks to get the set off of Ebay.

So in the end, it would pretty much piss of a large amount of the fanbase who ended up with the Botcon seekers. And seeing as much of the fanbase who goes to Botcon is pretty TF hardcore, Hasbro would anger the wrong crowd.

Nah, that makes absolute no sense. The Shattered Glass set, as well as every other set released at Botcon have been a Limited Edition, and will always stay that way. What if someone told you ... hey, you're getting a piece of a run of 1/500 and... you're gonna have to pay big money! Two years later.. o yeah.. well sorry, ah, we ran about 50000 more pieces and these other people only have to pay $10 for each of them!

Cyclonus is wicked. We haven't had a Transformer/Mini-con pairing in ages <- yeah, he's not a mini-con, but in my eyes he is!

I really hope his mold branches off into the other Targetmasters being released into the Universe line. I wouldn't mind seeing Blurr, Kup and Hot Rod ushered into the 21st century.

Cyclonus is definitely impressive.
My fingers are crossed that this means we'll end up with a new Scourge as well.

And with a need for more Decepticons, I'm seriously hoping that Hasbro steps up and gives us some Stunticons and some NEW MOLD Insecticons.

The Decepticons need a little more love.

Oooh. A new Scourge? Yeah, I'd love it if they did that. That would be sweet.
If they made the Stunticons they better not be a repeat of the Energon Combiner idea. The repaints are better than nothing, but I'd like to see five unique molds for a truly new combiner.
Insecticons...yeah, those would be awesome. Even though the G1 originals are simplistic, there's a bit of awesomeness to them.

Still...Cyclonus threw me for a loop. I just wasn't expecting him to be coming back after all these years. I also wasn't expecting him to pwn the original so harshly.

I think it was said he's due out in January. (I would like to see him in December. That'd make an awesome Christmas present.)

Cheetor's arms are definitely mistransformed, that round blue part is supposed to be his shoulder. Where are his guns? I hate those damn tail whips.

Seibertron.com has learned of some new images that have surfaced that show upcoming figures for the Universe 2.0 line.

Included in the mix are Universe Legends figures Starscream TF Animated, Brawn ,Beachcomber and Bumblebee (All G1). Universe Deluxe Starscream (which looks to be a more G1 accurate version), Cyclonus, Hound with Ravage and Cheetor. Universe Voyager Inferno and Vector Prime, Universe Ultra Predacon Bruticus, Robot Heroes Perceptor vs. Hardshell, Cheetor vs. Tankor, Snarl vs. Sharkticon, Animated Deluxes Bumblebee, Blazing Lockdown, Swindle, Blurr and Animated Voyagers Skywarp and Shockwave.

While Cyclonus looks amazing I'm thinking I'll need to see the Henkei one, it seems Hasbro has used the dark purple of the G1 toy rather than the lighter shade that he had in the cartoon.

Inferno looks brilliant and the Vector Prime repaint is good too.

Not to keep a negative vein going but I thought this was a really good example of how things can get nasty quickly, and is very avoidable.

Wouldn't it be nice if posts could be constrained to comments on figures we are planning on buying and not pooping on lines we don't even collect? It is rather inevitable that declaring a figure be better off not being made is going to illicit negative responses.

IMHO, thereis a substantial difference between wishing a figure not be made and wishing that Hasbro had made different choices in the design/paint.

For example, I don't collect animated, so I don't stress myself out about the line and don't bother to post negative comments on figures I obviously don't appreciate like those who collect them.

I do collect Classics and anything TF comic related, and I love Classics and G1 repaints. Thanks Hasbro for the "fan wank." It is about time we got some love. Odd how in the original post it was made to sound Hasbro was doing something wrong by giving back to the adult community. :shock:

Anyway, more on topic. These all look insanely great. Will certainly be getting the minis, Inferno, Cyclonus, Hound, SS along with the VP repaint. Only thing is I do hope they darken up Brawn and hound. The greens are a little too bright. IMO they should be more of an olive green. Still, the mold look awesome. I can't wait!!

Habro, another "fan wank" please, I'd like the other 2 Rainmakers. Acid Storm is lonely. ;-)

Other than Cheetor these all look great. I can't wait for that Hound/Ravage combo. I'm glad I never got VP in the Cybertron line because that new paint scheme looks really good.

Legends Brawn, Beachcomber ,Cosmos, Deluxe Cyclonus , Deluxe Hound with Ravage ,and Vector Prime are a must get. Like to pick up any of those if I see them.

These pictures make me very happy. I dont think there's a single one of those I won't get except the robot heroes but thats because I don't collect them. Bravo hasbro 2009 will be a great year to be a transformers fan.

One more thing could hasbro get whoever does these pictures to transform them right, I really want to see cheetor with his arms done right. Then theres Shockarm prime

A nice bunch of figs, most of whom I'll end up owning.

Bruticus will be a pass, I think I'd rather track down a Cryo for a second version of that mould and with all seven previous Hasbro releases of the Classics Seekers, Henkei Starscream and (on their way soon) Henkei TC and SW I don't really need another Starscream from that mould, although he is a lot nicer than the 'air show' colours of the first Classics release.

I still prefer the look of the Jizai Cyclonus over this one, but it'll be nice to own a version that doesn't fall apart every time you pick it up. The Hasbro one will be a shelfmate for Uni Galvatron while the Jizai can hang out with Airanhod Galvatron when I get around to finishing the paint on him.

Biggest surprise has to be The Last Autobot. Definate, definate purchase. I'm really hoping that the production version looks as good as the test shot. The wealth of moulded detail on the figure looks to be brought out really well by those paint aps.
