I've seen a video review of him. He's definitly one to get. The pictures make me want him more.

Ohh very cool. Loving the emblems. nice and raised. The face looks good when transformed properly.
Definitely picking him up.

I actually really dislike him, even by Animated standards.

Why am I suddenly imagining TFA Megatron in a sledge which is being pulled by Shockwave?

So far my problems with this guy are that his alternant modes are very unimpressive and his robot modes are gangly and not very solid in appearance.
I don’t like his heads much either…

I'm glad I'm not the only one disapointed with this figure. Animated toys for me at least have been hit or miss, Shockwave is definitely a swing and a miss. There has yet to be a Shockwave that can compare with the G1 version.

Animated isnt anywhere near as hit and miss and the classics/universe line. Some of the Universe tfs are really disapointing (Prowl comes painfully to mind, although quite a few would be better if they were just given a better paint job) and those Classics minicons were almost all fecking horrible.
Anyway, Shockwave.
My only real complaint is that his Con head makes the eye look more like a comical nose, other than that, he looks win.
Still very much loving Animated.

That first picture doesn't look like a cannon or whatever; to me, it looks like a robot lying face-down, like a child throwing a temper tantrum. The other alt mode just looks like a robot on all fours. You know you've got a bad TF design when the "alt" mode clearly has four limbs and a head.

I think he looks awesome, regardless of slightly lame alt modes. My only question is, should I get him right away, or wait for the maybe-eventual G1 repaint...

If they make a purple G1 repaint, that's the only way I'd buy him.

i really really really hate this fig
wow turn his hands around and pull down his salad tongs and wow you have shockwave's hands.
he looks like a very very very simple transforming gimmick.
seriously...you can see he is going to be a very horrible fig.
you'll transform it and look with disgust: "is that it"
honestly people, look at the fig, imagine the transformation sequence and believe me it sucks.
look at his legs....do you actually think those things will hold in place. "fold the tread of the tank (which are his legs) and fold the crotch together".
twist his legs around and you get autobot......twist it again and you decepticon......buahahahahahaha "let's do the twist".
wake up people.....he isn't that great.

buahahahahahhahaha
you can't get any simpler than this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZSGcnWGWDMand well....there's no need for individuals to post:
"well if you don't like it then there's more for us"
by all means....take as much as you want.

Wow. Hi-res disappointment.
Nothing about this figure says "Shockwave" to me. Lugnut is more Shockwave than this...travesty. I have yet to dislike an Animated figure (well, except Activators Lockdown - pure suck), which is one of the reasons I'm so disappointed.
Oh well. I'll probably still get it just to be a semi-completist.

There are lots of complainers, it seems. Granted, it's bound to happen in this fandom, but for what this toy is, it's pretty ambitious. And there's been worse toys produced.
