Site Sponsor BBTS has posted a preorder listing for Takara's EZ Collection Devastator. The preorder comes in two varieties: A case of 24 figures meant for resellers and a single set of 7 figures, for collectors.

Keep in mind that this set is a Takara product, not a Hasbro product, so chances of it seeing a US release are slim at this time.

55 dollars is a little steep for that figure. Sure it looks awesome, but I'm pretty sure Hasbro will release it here in the States. I can't see them passing up any chance to make money.

I got one I dont think it will be in us stores just becase they will be selling the 100 set.

Keep in mind that the single character preorders are for those characters that are "extra" characters in the case of 24

3x D1 Decepticon Overlord

4x D6 Long Haul
3x D7 High Tower

They're just selling the extra figures individually.

I can't use the logic that this smaller Devs won't be released because Hasbro is trying to push the 100 dollar bundle one. I mean, for the last movie, Hasbro tried to push the 80 dollar ultimate BB but that didn't stop them from selling like a million other BB products.

I'm 99% sure this set will see a stateside release. There's no reason not to release a smaller gift pack for those who aren't willing to shell out 100 bucks. If they release this set for 40 dollars, I'll be all over it. I'm sure a lot of kids and moms will feel the same. Not releasing this set stateside would be just plain stupid on Hasbro's part.

remmber tho TARAKA is the japan transformers brand and so far no hasbro (US) verson has been produced

Yea, I know that. The US will probably get this figure LATER than the JPN release, but I'm sure we'll get it. To be honest, I can this also coming in green and purple repaint.

I don't understand the point of the Case of 24. Why would you want three complete sets, plus three extra figures (an incomplete set)? That makes no sense.

That doesn't answer the question. Why would resellers want 3 of some figures and 4 of the others? I highly doubt that they did research and determined that those figures are going to be more popular by a 4-to-3 ratio. It just seems completely arbitrary. And the result will probably be shelf-warmers, which means the stores won't restock as quickly.

They probably thought it was going to be 6 constructicons instead of the newly released 7. That way, it would have been 4 Devastator sets. That's the only explanation I can come up with. Though, now that I think about it, it is kind of weird that there'd be 7 cons for the Legends version...
