Didn't see these on sale at my local Wal-Mart this morning, but the Transformers aisle was a complete disaster.

Look at the far left of the picture, it is a box for ANIMATED Skywarp. Could this have just been a product misplacement on the shelves?

It would be more likely for stores to be clearancing Animated then ROTF.

That's my guess.

exclusives like this tend to be the first things clearanced,plus the "was" price is 26.97 which is what the exlusive seekers were going for

I agree. Last week I was thinking about Getting Skywarp to Complete My G1/Movie Seeker Set, but didn't like that it was $26, $6 more than the figures were in the First Movie Lineup. But if they are really $10, I'll so pick one up. Maybe tonight I'll stop by My local Wal-Mart and Use a Customer scanner to check the price. SOmetimes the Computers are up to date, but the employees aren't.

Nope. Animated Skywarp is general retail, and in stores they're designated by their line and general size class. For example "Animated Deluxe" or "Movie 2 Voyager". Exclusives have a unique designation, usually the title of the packaging.

And if I were to guess it's another pricing error, like Sunstorm and True Color Shockwave.

I just checked walmart.com, and they're still full price there. *sigh* And even if they were on sale, the Wal-Marts in my area have sucky toy sections. I can never find anything, and at the Wal-Mart closest to where I live, the Transformers section always looks like World War III took place in it. :sad:

Hey guys. I'm actually in management for Walmart. $10 is not a home office type of clearance price for these figures(at least not initially). Probably just a store initiated clearance(specific only to that store) because they have a sizeable quantity or one of their local competitors is running a similiar sale.
To give an example of this, I obtained the 25yr anniversary optimus at on of my local stores on "clearance" for $25 while the rest of the world was around $60.

Only one Wal-Mart in my area even has SkyWarp and Ramjet. I'll go and check it out tommorrow and see. I looked every where before finally buying Ramjet online, if this is true then I might just pick up Skywarp.

If you guys are having trouble finding these figures, remember that WalMart is very inconsistent.

Be sure to check the entire toy department, high and low. I was at my local WalMart a couple of weeks ago and they only had one lone Ramjet on the shelf in the action figure aisle, where the price sticker was located.

I knew from past experience that they tend to shove stock anywhere there's an empty space. Lo and behold there was a group of Skywarp and Ramjet among the bicycle gear, and another large group of them shoved into a nook in the preschool toy aisle.

Additionally, action figures on clearance aren't always in the toy department, and the clearance aisles can be anywhere in the store. I've found many a low-priced hidden treasure in the craft section, the garden center, and even in the home/kitchen/bath areas.

If I see this price at my WM I may be able to jusify the purchase.

I like repaints, but I have a hard time justifying $26 for something that was $20 in 2007.

Actually, I was at the Walmart in Athens, GA last weekend and saw a couple of Skywarps on the clearance shelf. I couldn't find a price tag and am not a fan of the mold so I didn't get it. I suspect the story is true since there weren't any where the main TF display was.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but the Target near me in MN has the ROTF Legends figures on clearance for 3.48.

Then again, they also have had next year's School Supplies up since late June...

Are Target exclusives ever this poorly and inconsistently distributed? I can't recall having trouble finding any Target exclusive I've sought out.

I may check my local Walmarts as they are both swimming in these things, but even at $10 I don't know if I can let myself get suckered into this mold for a 5th and 6th time. It sure isnt a mold that I have grown more fond of over time. Looking at Thundercracker, G1 Screamer, and Original movie, I was trying to figure out what I ever saw in them as I put them in a box, ending their time on display.
