Transformers Mosaic 2 Pack: "Flesh and Blood" & "Simple"

Postby i_amtrunks » Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:54 pm

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted.
These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love.
No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

Good job on both counts. I like seeing storylines set in things other than IDW. The first one is clearly a precursor to the Classics story (with Rodimus loosing his partner), while the second, with the Dinobots being so dimwitted, seems to be set in the G1 animated series. Nice touch that Rodimus/Hot Rod doesn't have his name mentioned, and he's missing his Autobot symbol on his chest, just like the Classic toy.

The Mosaics are always great. I liked Simple just a tad more.

Totally enjoyed both. The Hot Rod one really reminded me of the old UK comic where Rodimus Prime reflects on his life as Hot Rod and the death of Firebolt.

Makes me miss the old days. I like Dreamwave and IDW's stuff but I grew up with Marvel UK and it's 332 issues of continuity. Things like the Hot Rod mosaic makes me sorry it wasn't continued.

Anyway, great job. Love all these mosaics.

Both great, but the first one really shows the binary bond can have some serious repercussions if one of the two die.

Weapon: Atom-Smasher Cannon
The Sludge story is well told. Well balanced humor and truth.

I liked both of them. The first was really cool and i liked the seriousness of how losing a part of you or partner can have a traumatic effect on a TF. The second was classic Dinobot humor. Great! :D
