Don Murphy, the producer of Transformers 3 has some update on the upcoming movie at his personal message board.

"TRANSFORMERS 3 is starting its third week of shooting. As you guys know, everything on this movie is super top secret., but it is going very well and I think you will all be stoked to see old favorites and new characters coming at ya. You know I liked the second film a lot- that said the new screenplay brings back the sense of awe and wonder that made the first film so exciting and special. It’s a shame that Megan didn’t work out but with what Michael has planned you won’t miss her. There is still a hell of a lot of shooting to go and you don’t need me the way you guys dig up clues and shit- suffice it to say NEXT Fourth of July you guys will be excited again. I personally can’t wait."

No... I won't miss her because she wasn't a pleasant person and I thought her acting lacked in every department.

I'm quite surprised he even addressed it, but much like his fanbase's name, he too, is a stooge.

I hope he's telling the truth about it having the awe and wow back. I just hope the TFs don't suffer because of it.

We need the heart of TF1, and the robot screen time of ROTF.

Now that's what I call promising news. I was sure that Fox's departure was intended in the first place.

well I finally saw transformers 2 since it was on Cinemax and as much as i disliked the first one it was semi entertaining but after watching the second one man that movie was garbage i mean it really sucked. i think T3 can only be better but we are dealing with micheal bay and he has surprised me before.

here is a question that has been burning and maybe someone here can answer. in the second transfromers the twins are obviously retarded are they retarded I mean my memory is fuzzy when it comes to g1 but i don't remember any retarded robots in the cartoon so are they any where else or did they catch something from JAR JAR BINKS on the way to big screen?

IDK if Mudflap and Skidz where in the cartoon, but I know they where in the comics. And Bay is popular because of explosions. Thats what people want, and thats what we get. I could'nt give 2 shits about plot as long as I have robots beating the crap out of eachother.

It was a laughing stok, but people exagerate ALOT about it! The plot was not bad. It was better than the first movie's plot. Robots looking for glasses on ebay big f*king whoop. If you take out Simmon's ass, and dogs humping, it drastically changes the tone of the movie. I watched bits and pieces of the movie with skipping those parts and it was a much better and well made movie. Those two scenes are the reason why people hate on this movie. And the twins. And for some people, Devistator's balls. But just watching everything except those parts makes the movie much darker. ROTF was a better movie than the first, the way it was developed and the way it handled the situation instead of just humans fighting the Decepticons. The only thing that was not better, was those parts that i meantioned before.

And WTF happened to people hating the first movie? I mean, when ROTF came out, they where complaining about the exact same thing that they where complaining about in the first movie! But when ROTF comes out, they act like the first movie was perfect! So, this is BS, people just want somthing to hate.

The second transformers is worse but it also had some great concepts that were under developed but all in all I just don't get it I love transformers and i am keen to evolution, but I feel like the transformers look like brightly colored shards of metal more than robots. i really wish they would have taken a bunch of really good G1 cartoon plots and spliced them together and pushed the story a lot harder. the Movie is called transformers but it centers around Sam, i almost feel like the transformers are minor characters. I mean its transformers obviously it needs big explosions and fights and all but it needs a story too, something bay doesn't know a thing about. the first one should have started on cybertron background and origin for the war and not gotten to earth until halfway thru. Megatron should not have died until second one and the 3rd should introduce Unicron maybe have galvatron and ditch earth...mmm unicron.

See this crap happens with every great comic or cartoon it becomes successful hollywood wants a piece and they destroy it because they don't care and the directors want to piss on everything like a dog to show ownership. remember spawn? great comic all you have to do is take the first 4 comics and bring it to film, but can they do that... no we got that rubbish instead. X-men story/time line was completely rewritten and then crapped on. Wolverine origins isn't even worth dissecting it sucked so bad. Another favorite was Fantasic Four you know the first one didn't hurt to bad but I think the second one was written as a practical joke. They make Superman have a kid who for some reason is only randomly super and sick, I mean no wonder thats getting rebooted in 2012. Oh! and those Poor Joes... thats one of my favorites and as soon as I saw Marlon Wayans was in it i knew that was going to be a turd... sure nuff. the only shining light has been Batman and it's been great so far and Spiderman is okay i only like the first one and the other 2 are so so and felt more formulaic and distorted.

1st one had some nauseating parts but it was a start of something with which to build on... and they chose to burn not build. I dont WANT to hate ANY of these films, i want them to be great and remembered for a long time, not have people smirking cos im a transformers fan. There is an opportuninty with 3 to put some of ROTFs crimes to rights and I hope they succeed... im not trying to butt heads with anyone, but i felt ROTF was a shocking movie.

i saw a picture of Megan in a bikini in People recently (or some similar magazine) and wow...she really did lose a lot of weight, she looks unhealthily skinny. when i first heard the story about Bay dropping her cuz she didnt wanna gain weight, i figured it was a lit or just an exageration of the real story but after that pic, i can see why he asked.

and then fact she refused to gain the weight, maybe she has the early symptoms of anorexia or some other weight related issue. she was a little smaller in Jennifer's Body but she still looked great but yeah that bikini shot was scary.

it wasn't Lindsay Lohan bad but if she keeps up whatever she's doing, she may be on her way. anyway i cant say i'll miss her in T3 but i seem to be one of the few who had no issues with her. now i hope the new girl isnt playing her and that she's a new character. recasting is so cheap, especially if it happens after an actor played the role multiple times.

I for one loved the first movie. I went in there with no expectations because I had seen the concept art that so many railed against, and then I saw a few quick glances, so I wasn't sure if it was going to blow or not. I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed. Even with that floozey Megan dancing around like a cheap stripper, I still found it neat. And its plot, sure, chasing after glasses is a bit, well, its the sort of thing you'd find in the G1 cartoon. That's why I liked it so much.

The second one, I went into expecting grand things, and it was such sh1te, there's no amount of profanity I can call upon to express my utter disgust at the thing. Fox was worse. When I heard the "twins" were going to be in it, I thought "Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, awesome!", but instead we got those abortions of racial sterotypes hidden behind the flimsy facarde of "well, they can't be racist, they're robots, boss!" The Devasator having balls despite the fact none of the combiners had demolition balls on their vehicle modes! Primus, I'd be here all day if I got into how much it sucked. Not to mention, Prime's voice had been altered.

ROTF was sh1te wrapped in faeces smothered in turds drowning in a vait of diarrohea.

I am so desperately wanting TF3 to be some fantastic "Up your's people who thought ROTF sucked". I'm hoping Bay grows some respect for the fans and the public at large and churns out something spectacular. I mean, make the second one arse, that way, the next one can't be that bad, right?

I'll have my rants about the new girl, but I have to have hope Bay can pull off a decent TF movie with the 3rd one.

I stand behind that anyone that found the twins to be full of racial stereo types is the one thats the racist. There were robot aliens. If you, or anyone else saw behavior that you felt represented a paticular race of human beings, then thats obviously the way you veiw them. Not Micheal Bay and not the script writers.

he actually does have the respect of a large portion the fans,as well public.
While the critics might have bashed the movie, the general public responed with record box office numbers. The fan base.... While not as popular as the first movie, still gave the fans what they wanted. We got more robots, more diaolge, scenes were slowed down to show more detail,... But Fans still found things to bitch about. Fans always will have somthing to bitch about. At times, i wonder if its worth even listening to the fan base.

No question about it, people will bash the hell out of it. Even if it turns out to be a Masterstroke of genius on the part of the director, writers, producers, actresses, actors.......everyone.
