An auction over at Yahoo Hong Kong has revealed the packaging artwork for the upcoming Asia Exclusive Transformers Alternity Nissan GTR Dai Atras.
Dai Atras is the repaint version of the Transformers Alternity Convoy, paying homage to Generations 1 Zone series Dai Atlas. From the box art, it appeared that this figure has not received any retool.

Feel free to track me down and slap me silly should this take a turn-but I think this is time we stop holding onto the head retool 'rumour' and accept that this figure is a poor and terrible atempt at both a good character and to release this mold YET again!

I love this mold, and the line, but this is silly. :-(

Don't like to complain, but I'm disapointed. I like Dai atlas and with better colours and a simple new head this would've been nice.

This is an incredible letdown. This set of four had appeal only because it was mentioned that they would be retooled. That they aren't completely wastes any interest I had in them. I already have these molds. If they want to retool them with new heads and features, then, sure, I'll get them. But what possible motivation are they giving me? New paint? So what? The originals all had nice paint. Sorry Takara, earthquake or not, I can't support this you on these.

I find it interesting that Hasbro went through all the trouble to make sure we got new head molds for the repaints of almost every single Generations figure, and now Takara can't be bothered to go the extra step to make these things worth getting.....

Hopefully there will be some in-story explanation for this. Like, if Dai Atlas got (after being damaged or simply upgraded) a new body similar to the Convoy-style body, and then later, upon becoming an Alternity, became an honorary member of the Convoy Corps.

Still gonna get it, I s'pose. But, jeeez! Even the Optimal Optimus doesn't help satisfy me any, but Grrrggghhh.

I SWEAR, if Galvatron doesn't get a new head mold I will ragequit this line.

This is pathetic. Yes. diaclone convoy or optimal optimus are much more conceivable then..(shudder) Dia-Atlas...

I want this, the white version and the silver, but only for customs.

Unfortunately they would be very expensive customs, so I have not jumped on any of them.

The constant recoloring and no new molds is what killed Alternators, and this line is far worse.

Way, way, way too much reuse.

This is TAKARA were talking about here ... theres NO way they'd give us this and say its REALLY Dai Atlas ... I mean ... Takara wouldn't be THAT lazy............. right? ... please tell me Im right ... PLEASE SOMEONEEEEEEE :BOOM:

It looks okay .. doesnt scream Dai Atlas ... but its not the worst thing I've ever seen (But only because that mould is good which saves it SLIGHTLY) ...easy pass.

Well it's not like Dai Atlas has a super distinctive head...I can't even recall off hand what it looks like. But a retool would have been nice.

Well hopefully this drops in price...it went from a must-buy to a maybe.

Okay, maybe "memorable" would have been a better word than "distinctive". It's not such an iconic head that its absence is missed, at least not to me. It would be worse if this were Fortress or Star Saber or something.
