Fourth Seeker from Transformers Timelines Issue 8 - Machine Wars: Termination Comic Identity Reveal
- Motto: "I ain't got time to bleed!"
- Weapon: Gattling Gun
BotCon has tweeted an image and the identity of the mysterious fourth Seeker from this year's BotCon exclusive Transformers Timelines Issue 8 - Machine Wars: Termination comic. According to the tweet this Seeker is know as Red Wing, and as you can see below uses the standard Classics Seeker mold. A possible hint at an upcoming TFSS 2.0 figure or some other type of club exclusive? Check out the mirrored image below.

Isn't that also the name of the pet bird/partner of the Marvel Comics hero Falcon?
Wonder which, if any, generic Seeker he's meant to be.

I'm all for more seekers and like the picture associated, but am having a hard time not being juvenile about the name.

I'm really holding out for a plaid seeker. And they way they crank them out these days, it shouldn't be a long wait.

Wow. Surprised by another seeker. Heh. I wonder if there is any official appearance of this guy in the G1 cartoon.
That said, I'm still hoping for some repaints of the Botcon molds... like MW Prowl, MW Hubcap, RID Skid-Z, RID Tow-Line, Sparkcrusher/Gutcruncher... or a random G1 Shattered Glass character like Mirage or Warpath or Dirge (yellow and black).
Not to mention the Duocons and/or Overcharge from the triple changers.
Excited to see what they have coming for the subscription. Hope it fills out some holes.

The reason for their Tweeting this guy's identity is because someone asked the Club during the Q&A of the TCC Comic Panel at BotCon who the fourth Seeker in the MW comic was supposed to be. They couldn't remember who it was, so they promised to Tweet this answer later.gothsaurus wrote:Wow. Surprised by another seeker. Heh. Another Seeker coming our way? I'm down, but I kinda wish they went for one of the obscure, unused decos (like Actionmaster Starscream or Sandstorm) than make up another one.

Touche! Nice seeing the complete list, but I definitely have less interest in those clear super versions.
That said, would be nice to see the other car brothers redone. I could see an X-brawn from Ironhide and a RID Prowl from Sideswipe... but given, that mold has been over-used for sure.
Mind you, getting off topic admittedly. Gotta take the TFCC subscription chatter elsewhere.
So yeah. Machine Wars botcon. Also still missing a redone Thrust and Tankor, among others. Also would love a MW Soundwave redone. Hmmm.

Will Red Wing soon be joined by his squadmates, Muddy Helmet, Fish Eye, and Donkey Punch?

I wouldn't count on Red Wing getting a toy, on the account of the name being possibly too generic or taken already. Besides, I'm still waiting on Skyraider versions of Hellbat, Guyhawk and Hooligan from 2009.

Seekers are made to army build, so I don't think the idea of this guy getting a toy is too far fetched. He's not any more generic than Bitstream.

Nice look, and nice name. As long as they don't take "Redstar": that's a fanfic name of mine.
There aren't any red Seekers outside of Starscream out there, if I remember correctly. If they make a toy out of this, I'd try my best to snag it.

They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

It's also worth mentioning that during the TFCC panel the Classics Seeker mold came up, and they said they would not rule out using it again. They asked the crowd if they wanted to see it used again, and the response was positive.

So close to being an Animated Starscream clone who fell in love with hockey, yet so far. Though I'd like to think this somehow does pave the way for an Animated repaint down the road, leading to FunPub finishing up the remaining Seekers in that continuity.
Nope, never been an official non-conehead Seeker redder than Starscream. Now I want a toy of this guy more than the 3 new Rainmakers so he can complete the CHMS pain-bow on my shelf.

I was just last night thinking while watching season 1 of G1 with my partner, in the midst of explaining how the BotCon "Rainmakers" are not from Divide and Conquer, but MTMTE part 1, that we really need a RED generic seeker. Lo and behold, here he is! Note, I had not seen or read anything about the FunPub Machine Wars comic until now, so Red Wing is a complete, and welcome, surprise to me.

I can't understand why anyone would want more of this mold at this point. This is getting ridiculous. Plus why would we want a seeker in Armada Starscream colors?
Didn't Hasbro or somebody say there was an Armada Starscream remake on the way?

Maybe because there hasn't been a generic Seeker that is red yet? What's wrong with a red and white Seeker?
Like I've said before, the Seekers were the Vehicons of the old days. They're fantastic army builders.

Yeah, a Generations toy is being made.

I'm well aware of the G1 Seekers and the whole army building thing. What I should've said is that I'm sick of seeing the mold. I welcome new Seekers, but I would much rather see them use the FOC seeker mold. I know it's not the original classic look, but it's the new look and the better figure. Plus, between Hasbro and Takara, there are too many versions of the older one.

He's just a comic-only guy whose identity was simply asked about at the con and on Twitter, so the Club gave us an answer.Rated X wrote:Dammit, I was trying so hard not to subscribe to the subscription service again. True that. I'll actually be a bit shocked if they do another seeker. Would love some news, though. They should post some pics for the upcoming year.
