Shadowstrip and Crasher have been appearing slowly at retail across the world and not everyone has picked them up. We have video reviews below from fans who did get them, fellow Seibertronians Chuckdawg and Thundertron, if you want to see and know as much as possible about the figures before getting them.

If Walmarts preorders for Crasher and Shadowstrip ever actually were in stock, that would have been nice. But after 3 years of Netflix exclusives why am I surprised? We know the game. These will be in stores well before any pre orders would have shipped anyway. If you can find them that is.

I'll probably get her because fembot, but I think POTP Jazz would have been a way better mold for Crasher to have used.

Thinking on it, despite matching alt modes, it probably would have cost too much to retool the mold as to remove the combiner peg (for us collectors, an additional limb would be welcomed, for kids probably not as much given the last retail releases of compatible toys was back in 2018). That and this isn't the first time that hasbro have given us crasher from Mirage (I still love the 08 Walmart exclusive Fracture), so they might have figured "let's go with tradition!"*

But yeah, I reckon budget had a part to play with Crasher here. I'm still wanting her.

* - not saying that's what happened, but I could have easily seen that being part of the process, seeing what was done before.

I confess interest in Shadowstrip, just because I'm impatient to finish Menasor

. Plus, the colors seem a much better match for Motormaster/Menasor's body component....

If you were thinking about using Shadow Strip as the other arm you'd be wrong, dead wrong. The ports on the Menasor arms are different on each side.

I wonder if we'll see any other Stunticon G2 esq repaints in this line? Besides Dragstrip there's still three other limbs that could be shined up, and since there's been such a debacle about Wildrider/Brakedown maybe one of those two would be a good candidate (my vote is for G2 Brakedown for sure )

I reviewed the pair in the one vid but for my money Crasher is slightly cooler. Unless of course you're all about that G2 life.

I was never a big fan of Siege Astrotrain, and I don't know enough about Japanese G1 to justify buying Galaxy Shuttle, but he at least wears the mould well and looks pretty nice. I've deceided I do really want Velocitron Hot Rod, I justlike the colour scheme a lot more than the original Studio Series version, but I notice none of the sites I usually go to for pre-orders have a listing for him. They all have Galaxy Shuttle, a few have Crasher and Shadowstrip, but none have Hot Rod.

For those like me who think galaxy shuttle did not work all the way, I am thinking the armada Jetfire/Astrotrain mold would work fine.

It probably would for a custom though you probably would get away with just using jetfire as a stand in.

Robot mode looks great, aint gonna lie. But man, both vehicle modes look so terrible. I was able to brush them aside with astrotrain since the deco worked well enough to give a uniformed look, but here the deco seems to highlight disorder.

I'm the opposite. I thought Astrotrain was a mess in both alt modes, but Galaxy Shuttle can get away with it because he was never intended to be a NASA shuttle to begin with and if he wants to also turn into a weird two tone train that runs on four rails that's fine too, maybe those are a thing on some planet.

And, apparently, retooling this Astrotrain mold into Galaxy Shuttle wasn't a recent idea. Rather, the Galaxy Shuttle headsculpt was a pretool built into the mold back when it was first made several years ago. It's only surfacing now because of the alternate pretooled head having been discovered by the current Hasbro team after all this time.

That would explain the robot mode inaccuracies

I mostly agree with this. I liked Astrotrain, and in many ways I like the Galaxy Shuttle more. I like the colors and head sculpt on him more.

I don't mind the transformation inaccuracies either, I am used to those by now, and he still looks good and quite frankly I am not sure how else we could get this opportunity to get him

There are no duplicates in that picture, each one is a unique figure. If he wanted to sell one he would have a long time ago.
