Now. I enjoy Slags now and then. Also, Slag as a swear in-universe...You're telling me no soldier ever used an expletive to describe himself? Oh my, how I have forgotten honour.
Designs look okay.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

The words "should be" and "inspired" do not help this assertion.Blackstreak wrote:Proof that These series of video games should be pre-G1 instead of TF: Prime. The designs were inspired by G1.
Besides, the interviews in the videos say that this story is only paying homage to G1 but is a different story. They called the G1 story too "kid-friendly" for the story of these games.
Plus, the guy's name isn't "Slag". It's "Slug".

cute... real cute..
then again... those key yet haunting words every fan loves/hates to hear "should be" and "inspired" just add "by" at the end and there you have a hellhole waiting to explode

Every TF series has designed inspired by G1.
That, and the Dinobots being on Cybertron kind of crush the idea of this being a prequel to the G1 cartoon.

To some extent, like Megatron and Primal's head's. Also Optimus Prime and Megatron's designs were nearly identical to their G1 designs.

These are still straight up G1 designs drawn in the BW art style. i'm looking for BW designs that are inspired by G1.Shadowman wrote:Starscream and Unicron's designs...and that's about all I got.

Yes. But I'm asking a genuine question. Aside from Primal and Megs' heads, did BW/BM have any G1-inspired designs?Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade wrote:These are still straight up G1 designs drawn in the BW art style. i'm looking for BW designs that are inspired by G1.Shadowman wrote:Starscream and Unicron's designs...and that's about all I got.

No, not really. I ran out of examples after Primal and Megatron, so I started making jokes to stretch it out.

Slug and Sludge being similar (SLUdGe) are my only qualms, otherwise. Love the designs overall!
I AM going to miss "Slag" though. I dunno. Any other name really just doesn't do it for me. In memory of Slag! *salute*
And I'm sure we all noticed the Wheeljack concept prominently placed in one of the interviews? I'm forgetting which of these we've already seen and which are new or were unnoticed before....
And yes, hopefully these interviews put to rest the main "in G1 continuity" arguments. They clearly reference G1, but are only taking what they need for their new continuity, or just homages in places.
Maybe one day they'll hold a contest where we can get a tour of HM Studios! I wouldn't mind hanging out with them for a day in their offices!
Transformers and video games, all in one. >:-)
