Well, technically the Maximals and Predacons could have landed on Earth in A version of the Ark, just not THE Ark. Of course, if that's the case, the asset for the Ark we've been seeing will likely be reused regardless, but it could be how they explain why it can suddenly transform despite not doing that previously

Re: War for Cybertron Kingdom Discussion The Beasts Return!

Been doing some quick math on the prices for the Golden Disk line and found some strange discrepancies.
1 - GD Jackpot
Jackpot is priced at 58 AUD, which almost exactly converts to 45 USD. That price doesn't line up with any size class meaning he's a two-pack. 45 would essentially account for two deluxes (Paradron was 40 USD).
2 - GD Terrorsaur
This one is interesting, we've heard that Terrorsaur is supposedly an Airazor retool but this price adds some intrigue.
38 AUD roughly translates to 30 USD *not* 20. Terrorsaur is currently marked at a Voyager price range which opens some possibilities:
A- He's actually built on an upscaled Airazor CaD file (same engineering) and is a literal Voyager
B- He's a two pack with a smaller Core or Battlemaster Class figure
There's something we don't know about Terrorsaur...
3 - GD Ranger Puffer
This one's still the mystery pack. 77 AUD which converts to 60 USD. As noted with Jackpot up there, the price of a Deluxe Two-pack is 40-50 USD. $60 was the price of the Botropolis set which was made of multiple two Deluxes, two Micromasters, and a missile. If the two Deluxes are Road Ranger and Puffer from Huffer, that would leave room to squeeze in a third deluxe or two Core classes.

Sorry to tell you, but even accounting for conversion rates, Transformers in Australia (and many other places) are still more expensive than they are over here in the US. ~$38 AUD, for example, is roughly around the standard Australian price for a Deluxe currently.

In the end we have buttloads of timelines and storylines that all logically be tied back to the single event that skewed time in Beast Wars canon-wise.
...wait...fixing timelines...isn't this where Loki is supposed to show up?
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Glad to see some of my pics getting featured over here! I have a couple more to share:

I removed the battle damage paint apps on Galvatron. Also, the gun can tab into the misassembled shoulder pin to emulate the classic look.

Did you use rubbing alcohol for the battle damage on Galvatron?

70% isopropyl alcohol. Total time... about an hour of constant rubbing? Might be longer, because I was watching a movie while my hands worked. The brush on the legs came off really easy. The printed battle damage took A LOT of rubbing in order for it to slowly dissolve. Any faint marks left over came off with a normal pencil eraser, but I had to use a ton of force and friction.

Heck, the only toy packaging to have the Ark without 5 thrusters is the Ark's!

Just noticed Galvatron's box uses the Autobot/Maximal Ark backdrop instead of the Decepticon/Predacon backdrop with the Nemesis or the non-comital one with neither like Cyclonus'.

On that note, flipping the shoulder so the metal pin is visible doesn't bother me enough to chance breaking the figure.

I know so, just look at both Studio Series threads

Anyway, got Paleotrex and Ractonite, so I'm caught up with Fossilizers for now. Sadly, Paleotrex has a small chip on the dark brown vertebra of the "shoulder blade" piece. O well. Ractonite is the better of the two, but I can't seem to decide on how to position the Styracosaurus skull that is his right shoulder. I currently have it facing forward, so he ram into stuff, but I don't know what looks best.

@ Actar,
Very cool photos!! I appreciate how you posed the figures and set-up each shot.
Also, I will say that Unicron looks incredibly good. All of those guys do.
Being free of all of the Siege greebling... They just look so on point.
I know some must love all of those little extra molded details, but for me, less is more.
Especially with the G1 characters-- put all efforts into the face/head sculpt, proportions, and transformations, and forget about all of the unnecessary indentations, lines, and broken-up shapes that make figures like Astrotrain look like a textural nightmare.

Im preparation to Commander Rodimus Prime, I just bought the original (complete of course) on Ebay. Having the G1 Walmart reissue and the SS86 Hot Rod, I want to do the same with the Prime versions. The irony is the G1 original of Rodimus Prime cost me almost the same price shipped as the Commander will cost me at full price. That is, if I'm spared the custom fees.

I know it's my namesake, but I was never fond of that figure. It only looked good in vehicle mode to me. The new CC is great in robot mode, but the vehicle mode is subpar. If I see him in stores I might get him. Maybe sell the battle platform on its own. I just want the robot.

Bird bird bird is the word.
Definitely the best out of the three I picked up
warpath - A nice leg transformation kinda on the level of TR kup, scratched paint out a the box (not a bad thing), awful paintwork on his arms and the shield thing really is needed in vehicle mode so that he doesn't have gaps but it can't be used in a way to emulate the head flap of the old toy as it only fits one way around on his back.
Huffer - looks almost like the new Bandai machine robos.sadly a bit too tall compared to old legends but it's not that bad for him. The wheels on vehicle mode are poorly thought out and one can't rotate due to the flap that pokes out being a bit too close. The extra bit of plastic like hoists for the foot tilt so it can pull it off is appreciated.

I'm sorry, Soundwave. You keep saying they're 'free of the Siege greebling' but I just don't know what you mean. All three have 5mm ports. Scourge, even is SS 86 and he has 5mm ports.

They're not talking about the 5 mm ports when they use that word. The term greebling typically refers to little extra details added to make designs look more realistic and/or technologically advanced, things like molded rivets or extraneous panel lines that imply that something that's one part on the figure would be multiple panels if it were a real robot. If you look at figure like Siege Magnus or Astrotrain next to someone like Kingdom Cyclonus, the Siege guys has way more of those kinds of details on them, while Cyclonus's comparative lack of those details is the design style that Sowndwave prefers.sol magnus wrote:Sowndwave76 wrote:@ Actar,

I personally prefer the greebling myself, I find a lot of G1 designs can look really bland without it, but we're kinda getting both styles right now on a figure-to-figure basis, so I ain't complaining.

To err*

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
