He reminds me more of ER Airwave myself. Can't wait to see him next to his old pal Sixgun.

My second thought was that we could possibly use a bigger, better Scamper than what came with our first Titan. Maybe.

Definitely want a new Scamper. I wasn't happy with the one that came with Metroplex to begin with, but when the rest of the Titans came with larger bots...
That hinge in his belly is promising since on the original that was how his tower folded out. Looking forward to seeing more, especially with his arms facing the right way.

Hasbro knows what's been leaked and they aren't doing a single thing to get ahead of them. This tells me they don't care and don't think of us as a significant enough group to be bothered by if we're "spoiled" and will do reveals for the wider audience at their leisure.

Hasbro usually, but not always, wants copies in-hand to show. They also want reveal events to lead into pre-orders. And they generally want to pace out reveals over an extended period of time. Do any of those factor into the decision? I don't know, but Hasbro controls their marketing programs but not leaks.
We've seen leaks from retailer inventory, from pre-production art, from early factory copies. I don't think it's realistic to expect them to "get ahead" of all of that. They could institute more controls like more aggressively investigating and punishing employee leakers, but even that has its limits.
I don't think Hasbro doesn't care about fans, I think fans don't care about leaks. If you don't want to see leaks before reveals, there's a simple fix: don't read leak sites. If that was a fan demand, more sites would hide images behind spoiler warnings or something. As it is, everyone is fighting to show it off, because what fans want more than no leaks is seeing everything as soon as they can.

Counterpoint: they revealed Perceptor way earlier then they normally would have, probably so they could show off a figure that hadn’t leaked yetEmerje wrote:Mindmaster wrote:Definitely liking Slammer, though with this leak, we now know what W4 looks like without any official confirmation. Please no, I don't want him to be a Weaponizer. The Weaponizer format should really be left to new characters, drones, characters that don't have much in the way of established personalities and characters that were already partsformers in G1.

So far, nothing has come up other than Warden saying he wanted a go at the character a while back (then he left to take other Power Rangers). Rumours are we're getting Cybertron Metroplex though...if that's any consolidation.

Leakers said there were no plans for Metroplex, but they also said Titans were being retired, and now they say the next one is Cybertron Metroplex.
My answer? Who knows

Although it goes back to 2013, I do believe it was stated somewhere that Slammer will have some way to interact or connect with T30 Metroplex correct? Again, it's not one of those things that had to be done (like putting TR connections on Siege Omega Supreme), but it was a nice little bonus.

I think you are overthinking things. Metroplex has plenty of 5mm ports available. Slammer should have plenty of 5mm pegs. It should be that simple.

Which is why Hasbro can easily make that statement without blinking. I'd be very surprised if T30 Metroplex actually appeared in Slammer's instructions, now that would be a sign of things to come.

^^^This, there is no way there would be anything official in the instructions referencing a 2013 toy.
However, oddly enough, Metroplex is the best for using the weaponizers despite being developed and sold before they were even a concept. Most/all of his screw holes are 5mm and he has the most of any titan, and more importantly in more usable places than any of the others.
