War For Cybertron PS3 DLC Contest - Which WFC Character Deserves a Figure?
Re: War For Cybertron PS3 DLC Contest - Which WFC Character Deserves a Figure?
Slipstream. She currently has no figure and Generations currently has no seekers! Since she originally first appeared in Animated, not all fans know of her. But since it is more likely that more TF fans will buy War for Cybertron, a Slipstream figure is due for a debut! Plus, the WFC design is very good!

There is hardly much to say about Slipstream, considering she only appeared in a few episodes of Transformers Animated. Though, compared to Arcee who had a non-existent personality and was nothing more than a plot device throughout the series, Slipstream was still a far more interesting character for her "temperament and biting humor", yet more interesting she was meant to be a part Starscream's personality. Also many fans find that she is quite an iconic and anticipated character, due to her being the first female Decepticon seeker.
Alas, Transformers Animated came to an abrupt end, a toy was never made of Slipstream, and thus
she is greatly unappreciated, especially when you consider that a character whom only had comic book appearances has gotten their own figure.
Since the Transformers Animated show, her only appearance outside of the Allspark Almanac has been as one of the un-lockable characters in the video game Transformers: War for Cybertron. Not only would a figure of War for Cybertron Slipstream make up for her lack of an Animated toy, but it would also act nicely as a G1 incarnation if she never had an earth mode, similar to Arcee. What is more, it would add to the fewer number of Decepticons in the Generations line.
Well, that was my best shot.

Since last week, I am a proud PS3 owner, so I can join the contest (and win)!
Okay, just 1? Why not all? They are all FTW anyways. If you make it, we buy it
But if I must choose, then I would go for Jazz. Cause he is cool and he looks cool, and it would be cool to have him because I only have Jazz as a G1 vintage and Encore Reissue. And he looks very promissing in this Cybertronian mode.

Transformers figures have always been around the same charactrs over and over again. So why not give the chance to others like Warpah. Also great characters like Jazz or Shockwave never had much attention for some reason so in my opinion either one of these three would be cool (I'm praying its Warpath or Jazz 'cause their two of my favourite)

It has to be Shockwave. I realise we're going to have a Shockwave overload next year if he is the main villain in the third movie, but at time of writing, there have only been three Transformers toys named "Shockwave," the original G1 figure, the Animated one (two if you count the repaint) & the non-transforming Action Master rendition (the Energon & Alternator versions don't count as they are called Shockblast)...
Besides, he's one of my favourite TF characters of all time!
I NEED my Shockwave fix!!!!!

Arcee, has my vote!! Aside from being the most famous fembot out there, the in game version of her totally ROCKS! She has a gorgeous robot mode and a kick ass vehicle mode. Being a futuristic sports car, she has that G1 feel we all know and love and since she's from War for Cybertron, she has that modern sensibility that all the in game characters have. Isn't it about time we have a good Arcee figure?! One that would fit seamlessly in both the War for Cybertron line as well as the Classics line. I don't know about you, but we need more "GOOD" female Transformers figures and I don't see a better opportunity than now, to make it happen with the War for Cybertron ARCEE!!

I'd say the seekers and join the flocks of those who've said it for the same reason: repaints of Screamer and not even just Thundercracker and Skywarp but also Sunstorm and Acid Storm.
The only different thing I can think of is Jetfire and make him and Starscream an exclusive 2-pack (more than likely anyway) furthermore they could do an exclusive "Dark" repaint of him as well.

I would have to say Breakdown or Barricade.
Breakdown because he is one of the more humorous Decepticons in the game. Sure, the others have their moments, but Breakdown shines because the others cannot stand him very well. Plus, this would let the toyline complete one of the squads from the missions. Also, how many of the current decepticons are paranoid anyway? We should have more psychologically messed up transformers, to help demonstrate the effects the war is having on them!
Barricade because mircomaster rebirths are a trend from hasbro right now. And because it's nice to see a cybertronian muscle car. I'd rather see barricade rather than Sideswipe, Jazz or Arcee because his alternate mode isn't sleek. Also, I'm fairly sure a decepticon who leads his opponents on death courses would be popular with kids.
I don't even own the game, these are just my observations based on watching the campaigns on youtube and looking at the WFC Site and TFWiki for the character bios.

Those hands, I can't forget those silly, delicate hands. Always spinning and dancing and cutting away, spinning and dancing and crushing away, twirling and whirling and warping around and away. No escape, no escape. Every time I close my eyes they come back. Any serenity I gain is lost by their image. No escape, no escape, nothing can get me away from those dancing, enthusiastic, delicate hands and their diamond fingers.......

Slipstream.. I think she would be good because she is a new character and has a slick alt mode.. The look about her just screams to make her into a toy..
and she has a nice attitude about killing autobots...

i really want to see a Shockwave figure. Not only is he a popular, iconic character that many fans loved and adore even now, now that Transformers 3 will include him in some significant way. The character design in both robot mode and his alternate mode. Not only that, but his alternate mode appears to be a massive muscle car with a turbine and wings. His robot mode is an incredible adaption from his original self.

All hail the PS3, so say the Junkions! Finally having a PS3 pays off so much for exclusivity for the 360.
I would have to say that my vote goes to Arcee. Though it would be a pink toy some of the color scemes for the other official action figures were pretty terrible, like scorponok it looked like 3M were testing out color's for their new highlighter line.
I remember seeing TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE and thinking that the new Autobot were all pretty cool, from the old timer Kup to the turbo reving punk Hot Rod, but then we also had Springer, Perceptor, Ultra Magnus, and the rest of the amazing cast. I remember going to Ventures and buying the line for the movie and always wondering why they never released an official Hasbro Arcee figure, I mean we get Perceptor who is a microscope (I know we had characters like Sound Wave, Blaster, Reflector who were "house hold items" But seriously a microscope when we could have had another cool looking cybertronian vehicle like Blurr.) but he was marketed to have a "triple-change" mode to a tank which would have been cool to see in the movie, maybe like Blitzwing when he takes aim at Hot Rod and Daniel on Lookout Mountain. Alass we did not see his tank mode or see him fire accurately for that matter, one would think he would have great accuracy for being able to see such microscopic life forms.
With the generations line making such great references to The Transformers original cybertronian transformations like BUMBLEBEE, I would think it would be in great taste for Hasbro to do an official Arcee figure so I can finally after 25 years complete my set and put her amongst the greats that made they're debut in THE MOVIE. Also I thought we would have had an official release during BotCon 2002 when they had the Arcee Lithograph. Sorry for telling an old war story guess Kup rubbed off on me after seeing the movie so may times, when are they going to release it on Blu-ray?

Though there were plenty of very nice chasis in WFC, the greatest accomplishment was Shockwave. Extremely reminiscent of G1, Shockwave's design screams "Military Operations Commander". The greatest thing is that the designers at Hasbro could easily change his gun arm from right arm back to left arm. In addition, we can say for certain that we are going to get a TF3 Shockwave toy, and having a deluxe WFC toy standing next to my voyager Animated and most likely leader class TF3 toy would be such a sight.

Air Raid deserves a figure. This is one Autobot who is loyal to the cause. He is strong, skilled, and smart in combat. Air Raid always seems to know what he's doing. He's on top of things and would'nt disobey an order from his superiors unless it was absolutely necessary. Air Raid also has a sense of humor and is ready, willing, and able nearly all the time.
It is true that in the past few years Air Raid has gotten figures, but none of them represent him well enough. In 2007, he was given a scout class figure. The deco was cool, but it didn't scream, "Hey! I'm Air Raid!" In 2008, Transformers: Cybertron Legends Class Jetfire was repainted into a silver and blue Air Raid, but it didn't really seem like Air Raid that much at all. In 2009, he was released in a 5-Pack with his fellow Aerialbots and could form Superion, but it still wasn't the best Air Raid.
Now, Air Raid is back in 2010 as part of the War for Cybertron cast. He has an amazing design in the game and is a great character overall. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have been released, and Megatron, Soundwave, and Cliffjumper are on the way. If anyone else deserves a figure, Air Raid does. The other characters featured in the game have had several great representations in the past couple of years, and some will be getting new figures in the upcoming years. But not Air Raid; he needs a new figure, and War for Cybertron Air Raid. fits the bill. I think a new figure of Air Raid that finally has a classic feel would really have something for everyone.

I do NOT think that Shockwave should get a figure, the robot is fantastic but the vehicle is ridiculous, although I do think that the figure should be a Con. This is because there is already 3 Autobots and only 2 Cons. It should be a leader class Trypticon (yeh right, that'll never happen) it should be Starscream, this is because he is an iconic character in the transformes franchise and he plays a massive role in the game. Another reason is whatt was said in another comment, we may get a few repaints (skywarp for the win). That is why they should make a generations deluxe class Starscream.

For my picks I must say Shockwave or Slipstream for the Decepticons.
I picked Slipstream cause as many have said the girls hardly ever get toys. Also she is probably one of the coolest out of the flying decepticons because of her seductive and deadly nature. The girls actually got alot of love as toys than previous lines. But my first bid is for Slipstream above all else
I have yet to see a readily available Shockwave figure, and his look and transformation are amazing in the game. Also he is Megatrons right hand man and I havent seen alot of toys of him.
Autobots, i havent played the DS game but I probably will have to at least rent it when I just found out Grimlock is in the game
so my picks of Autobots are Grimlock and Jazz
Grimlock because he is just BADASS. Havent seen his look or transformation but he is my favorite just above Hot Rod, Jazz and Bumblebee. Also you can never have enough Grimlock ;D
Secondly Jazz. Mostly because he got such a RARE and stupid deal in the movies. I was completely and utterly upset when he got such little lines and died so easily. But he is definatley back and better than ever in WFC.

Starscream, starscream, starscream and definately Shockwave too.
I would buy two of each if they were made.
Starscream in voyager or leader class would be sweet too, and i would certainly buy that too.

Okay... thinking from a bang for the buck sense.
If we get ANY seeker mold, we'll get 3 toys (Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp...) for the price of one...maybe more. Same for Ironhide/Ratchet.
I'd love to see all of these...and of course Shockwave's up there at the top of the list, though a repaint wouldn't have the awesome "new character" joy.

Answering just from a standpoint of what I'd like to see done in general (because I haven't played WFC yet), I'd pick Arcee for the Autobots and Shockwave for the Decepticons.
I'd rather have a G1 Arcee (if it's fair to consider WFC pre-G1) than Animated, and Shockwave deserves a new figure that is actually called Shockwave. (Maybe Hasbro can do a legends-class version of G1 Shockwave that can fit into the 5mm hand-holes most of the larger scale figures have...)

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

I vote shockwave. My first reason is that he is one of the most iconic gen 1 characters and also that he is going to be in the upcoming live action film. My last reason is that shockwave hardly had any toys of him that were just shockwave, not shockblast or sixshot.
