I know I'm part of the minority here, but I just don't like the "4 treads" thing.

It's not that I can't handle change. I love the new Generations Blurr and Kup. But it just doesn't look right and doesn't do Warpath justice. If anything, this should have been Hardhead.

Go ahead and chew me out, but I think I might pass.

The little turret on his left shoulder is identical to the one on Darkmount/Straxus/skullgrin. Still looks hawt though...

It's not. I have both Skullgrin and Straxus (Darkmount) at my desk and they have a six missile pod that mounts on the other side. This is a 4 missile pod that doesn't appear to have the clip system, me thinks.

Lovin' me some KAPOW though!

You're right, it probably should have been Hardhead since he was a 4-tread from day 1 and I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see a repaint done very shortly after this one is released. I think the only thing that made it so easy to warm up to the idea of this mold as Warpath was that I liked the Armada series Demolisher and Megatron/Galvatron molds. The wider spread treads with the position of the body made it easier for me to buy into the idea of getting the Legends version of Warpath and that one grew on me REALLY fast. But everyones different. I've totally dumped on some of the new molds that everyone else is enamored with and (knock on wood) there hasn't been an angry mob at my door...yet. Don't worry about getting chewed out. I'm pretty sure I'm higher on everyone's hit list so you should be safe for a while.

I agree with you. The figure is awesome but his head is very round and looks like a scary hockey mask. I'd order an alternative head that was perhaps a bit more angular and fit more with other Transformers. I'd be all over that, just like the Kup iGear head I pre-ordered.

The lighting and angles from before made the head look pretty weird. But now it looks normal. :roll:

These new pictures of the figure are beautiful! I'll definitely be getting this one. I'm really glad they made this a dark red rather than the cheap, almost KO-like light red that was used on the Walmart version of Powerglide.

I'm still not 100% sold on the headsculpt. Looks too much like they had WWI Grimlock in mind for a repaint, but that figure as a whole is money son.

The head reminds me of Beast Wars Razorbeast.

Actually, it reminded me of G1 Warpath first.

But after that it made me think of Razorbeast.

Now THAT is a lovely deep red.

Knowing there's a good fig like that down the line this year almost makes up for the severe disappointment with DOTM so far.

While I'd like to say that it's still rather early to be knocking the DOTM line, it's already been confirmed that we'll be getting smaller figs this time around. Worse still, two of the leader classes have gone to totally out-of-scale characters [BB and Ironhide...WTF?!]

Well, at least those mechtech guns will actually be featured in the movie [the Nascrar Daytone TV spot shows BB transforming from alt mode into some "battle alt mode", with the mechtech gun coming out of the right side of the passenger area].

Sorry for the off-topic rant.

Anyways, Warpath is a definite buy. Thank God for Generations.

If I was impressed with Warpath in the first batch of pictures then I'm blown away with the second batch. He looks perfect. Can't wait until he gets his United release.

BUT

I wonder which other 3 characters will get released with him in the next United Wave as they've had 4 per wave since the first wave.....
