Yea, did you know that the creator of Tom and Jerry made an "animated" adaptation of the Hobbit?
No? Well you can still watch it.

Yea, this never saw the light of day, and was based on a shortened version of a script for a feature length animated film he wanted to do. This was basically done so that the studio could keep the film rights to Tolkeen's works. It's odd, doesn't really resemble the book much, and, well, actually pretty crappy.
But hey, it's only 12 minutes long.
