Actually Night Owl is based on Blue Bettle and Rorshach is based on 2 different comic characters, Mr.At and The Question.

Nite Owl is based on Blue Beetle and Batman.

Not according to Alan Moore.

He said he based Nite Owl on the 2nd Blue Beetle entirely.....as he was written from Charlton's comics.

Althou it does appear that Batmans costume did inspire the artist.

Well my mistake on what he's based on, I was just goin off wikipedia. I'm seeing it again today. Such a good movie

It may not be a mistake.

It could be that the artist was inspired by Batman but the writter was not.

I took my friend to see it yesterday, he wasn't as impressed as I was. He didn't like how the action would build up for a second, then they'd drag it back down to a crawl in a heartbeat. The flashbacks also confused the crap out of him. For some reason he swore up and down that Rorschach's mom and Silk Spectre's mom were the same person

Thats just silly. The original Silk Spectre just slept around. Rorschach's mother was a "lady of the night"

I saw the movie as well. Really enjoyed it, Especially the scenes in the jail.

The one thing I absolutely disliked about the movie was the way they did the whole Comedian/Silk Spectre thing. Ugh. "He's your father".
YES. I KNOW. It was a poignant and wonderful peek at the whole human condition in the GN, while in the movie it seemed liek a cheap soap-opera moment.
