The Energon Pub

Hey I wanting to get into the transformers comic book series but have no idea where to start. I grew up watching beast wars and armada and some energon (terrible series i think) so I would like some suggestions for a couple series to read. I'm also interested in Drift and what series he is in he seems pretty bad azz. Thanks.

Depends on what your preference is. Going by the cartoon series you cited, I'd say start with DW's Armada series (AWESOME) and move onto the DW G1 stuff. There was also a Beast Wars miniseries from either DW or IDW, I don't remember. I cannot vouch for IDW's later stuff such as Drift, because I quit reading IDW altogether when Energon came out. Horrible comic. But if you have the time and the cash, nothing's better than the original G1 Marvel series from the 80s.
