We were given a snipet or giant golden nugget of info by Boo; the artist of the comic that came with the Rodimus vs Cyclonus box set, who stated that the comic hinted at loads of future toy releases that would empty our wallets.
Well so far since he made his comments he's been absolutely correct as most of the characters in the line have been released!

Here's a list of characters who are featured in the comic who have received new Masterpiece/Generations/United figures/ reissues in the last 12 months:

To date we've seen pics of the upcoming Generations Warpath but for the rest of the characters we've had only speculation and possible clues such as Arcee appearing in a Walmart listing, Galvatron featured heavily in the Masterpiece Rodimus info/story and some of the guys at Seibertron who know more than us but can't share it have hinted that we may see a G1 Dinobots reissue giftset.

Do you think these characters will also get new Generations/Reveal The Shield/United/Masterpiece/G1 reissue figures in 2011? If so then in what line do you think they will feature?

We know Arcee and Warpath are coming.

I can only hope that the Dinobots are coming down, Grimlock is really lonely. I'm really tempted to get the G1 Dinobots if/when they come out to fill that big gap on my shelf.

I just picked my Rodimus vs Cyclonus up the other day and was wondering the same thing. Good question. And the Warpath in the comic looked a lot like the Warpath we've seen in the mold. So I'm hopeing so.

I'd love a new Snarl.

Animated Swoop fits surprisingly well with Grimlock IMO.

The artist, Boo (who posts here from time to time), stated that the redesigned characters might be getting figures. Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, Devastator, Bumblebee, the Dinobots, Wheelie, Perceptor and Arcee all still use their original (albeit stylized) designs. Of note is the fact that they didn't use several updated designs despite having already been redesigned for the Classics and later series. They used Classics Hot Rod but not Grimlock? Universe Cyclonus but not Galvatron? Or even RtS Jazz but not Bumblebee? Generations Blurr but not RtS Perceptor?

I wonder if they only told Boo that he had to use certain redesigns or if he could use the G1 styles if he wished?

Same story on my shelf. Masterpiece Grimlock needs some Dinobot buddies, don't care what size!

I hadn't thought about that, that's a good point.

He probably got told about some new figure designs that they wanted to further promote using the comic but others maybe he just got told to use the traditional G1 style as perhaps they were characters who were going to feature in the 2010 releases but they hadn't finished designing the new figures by that time.

I hope they reissue Galvatron since Cyclonus was and we're getting Scourge. And I'm in no mood to pay $27+ for a Universe/Henkei one.

I think (and hope) that with him being released in the 2 box sets that we won't see any more releases of Galvatron - a seriously crap figure (too small, too much kibble etc etc) and will get a glorious Masterpiece instead which he deserves.

How about the 2 cm tall dinobot power core combiners or WST dinobot set......

Hell i would be happy with new voyager size Galvatron for now.

Yeah, his mold did kind of get the short end of the stick with the deluxe size. I wonder if that would lead to a voyager size Rodimus?

A Rodimus Prime, maybe...

I'd really like a new Devastator. That was my number 1 thought upon browsing the comic...."New Devastator? Yay!"

You and me both. If he does get a release, I wonder if he'll finally see a G1 reissue or if they'll do something in a Generations/Reveal The Shield/United style.
