By Data I mean files, programs, etc.
It's not Solid, Liquid, Gas, or Plasma.
It does not have mass and does not take up space, hence it's not Matter.
It is symbiotic in nature. It cannot exist without a medium to infest; hard disc, dvd, ipod, etc.
What is it? will it exist when there is no media? If not, why should I spend real money on it?
What is Data? (not Star Trek)

Data is just knowledge. Which is true, it is symbiotic in nature.
Stories are passed down through generations of family members, over the years, the story changes, if there is nobody left to carry on the story, the story then dies.
If the story is put into a book, or online, if the website ceases to exist, or the book is lost. So is the story.
The reason you spend money on data, is to learn it. Knowledge is everything.
Data will exist when there is no media, so long as somebody remember it. Then it will go back to being a story passed around.

True story, one of my Professor's in college told us that he had an opportunity to invest heavily in Microsoft way back when the company first started up. He opted out of it because it didn't really have any "real" product, it was just data. He couldn't see how that could possibly be profitable. He is of course, kicking himself now. Keep in mind, back then, that's how one thought of an investment, a company brings in raw materials and produces a product and profit is made. No one really thought that data could be used as a product.

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
