You might wanna to do a little homework next time you reference the Greek gods and how they all have amazing domains...

Poseidon King of seas
Hades , God of the underworld

Dionysus was a Greek God right up there with Zeus and Poseidon, and in fact the Goddess Hestia
actually left her seat so he could take a place among the Olympus twelve and become... the God of Wine and Parties. How's that for fitting in with the God King of the Sky, Thunder, and Justice?
Likewise, who is to that among the original thirteen transformers there are those who got shafted with regards to their powers or domains? Certainly there are going to be members of the original thirteen that have less glamorous powers then others.
In anycase, mythology tends to be very... broad even when studying something like the Greeks, such as the affair between Ares and Aphrodite. In some versions of the myth, Hephaistos, Aphrodite's husband, is out for blood whereas in others he simply sulks.
Even if writers for a new series did go to the trouble of fleshing out a mythological background, would it even be relevant? In addition, there is no 'set cannon' around mythology. Nexus Prime could be an original thirteen member, there may or may not be hope at the bottom of Pandora's box, the Norse Goddesses Freyja and Frigg might be the same Goddess. There's a reason why the mythology of Transformers Universes are kept a grey area, because mythology is a grey area.
With continuity reboots, statements like "There no Primus and Unicron in this continuity" are generally kept broad. Sometimes mythology isn't even explored, because frankly, it's irrelevant to the plot, ie Animated limited itself to the Allspark as a source of life and power.
Besides, backstory is nice, the universe being fleshed out is cool, but frankly the actual story and Characters are what count.
