After getting most of my collection finally out of the boxes, I was drawn back to the second figure I bought when collecting and my first Decepticon: Titans Return Galvatron. In particular, I hadn't handled him in over a year and was curious to see how he'd scale with recent Generations offerings in preparation for Super Megatron's arrival. I forgot how much even Voyagers lost height since TR but on the flipside it makes Galvatron (and Super Megatron) a good head taller than the Siege faction leaders, which is always good.

People are a bit too unfair to Titans Return Galvatron IMO simply due to his atrocious head crest gimmick. He's quite towering and powerful looking, with only his ugly head gimmick and hollow forearms to 'ruin' his look.

Without these two often-disliked figures I wouldn't have gotten back into collecting.

I don't find the hollow forearms bothersome at all, they're just the price of foldaway hands these days. And for me at least the mask gimmick is minimally bothersome.

Megatronus came out for comparison and after saying something about ectotrons oversized wellies and... Well, ectotron sorted out one of his problems and it's a better solution than having his legs backwards as I usually display him.

With a bit of manipulation megatronus can pull off a dainty look (as long as the back kibble is ignored), her and her team mates are too cool to be left in combined mode.
