So how long did it take you to start begging your mother to get the car painted like Bluestreak, Prowl, or Smokescreen? Or to at least get an Autobot symbol painted on the hood?

Lol! Actually, it WAS silver and looked just like the Bluestreak figure except for the black rear louvre, dual exhaust, and of course, the lack of any faction symbology.
Eventually, it fell victim to cosmic rust and got replaced with a Honda. :-(

Before i start, i wanna say that a kid i grew up with had pretty much a new toy every week and before Transformers and Go-bots, he had a big collection of Robo-tech stuff and would bring it to school dailey and rub it in everyones face about it that he had these toys and would not let anyone touch or play with them. So, when Transformers did come out, the first one i remember and had was Shockwave and then Soundwave (my grandma got me Shockwave and parents got me Soundwave) and when i took these to school, everyone who ooo and ah over his Robo-tech stuff was doing the same over my Transformer stuff. Then one day he had the nerve to come up to me and he said, can i play with your Transformer? and i replied only if i can play with your Robo-tech and which he said no, and then i said no for mine. But shortly after about 6 months or so, he moved out of state and i guess i was the big guy on campus and only a few kids i grew with had Transformers.

After Shockwave and Soundwave was
Prime (still have)
all the constructicons - (some i still have)
Dinobots - ( recently found Slag and Sludge, no Grimmy yet)
Hound - (MIA)
Bluestreak - (In pieces)
Thrust - In pieces)
Arielbots - (still looking for)
some of the Protectobots - (found some of them)
all the Combaticons (which i still have)
all the Terrorcons (complete)
Skylynx (complete, but broken leg on the lynx part)
thats about all i remember..

I remember my mum and dad takin me to the city center on my 8th birthday in 84 and buying me Thundercracker and Cliffjumper, except Cliffjumper was yellow. I was always unsure whether to call him Bumblebee or not. Thundercracker was a bastard to Transform also.

The first TF I ever actually owned was G1 Sandstorm, while the first TF toy I ever saw was probably Powermaster Prime.

I got G1 Prowl from my brothers friend when I was about 2 1\2 or 3. I don't remember what happened to the toy, though. He also gave me Jetfire a couple of years later.

The first TF I remember getting new was G1 Powermaster Prime. Good times

I think it was G1 Ravage (or one of the other cassettes). I thought it was the coolest thing that these little animals/robots would turn into cassettes. I was hooked ever since then.

second grade i was really into making clay dinosaurs in art class and then at bradlees i saw my first dinobot holy crap! i thought i begged and pleaded and my mom went about a week later and bought me sludge and i slept with him bathed with him until i lost him. good times, good times...

I couldn't have been more than three or four, but me an my brothers all got some basic Beast Wars guys at Christmas. I remember Razorbeast, he holds a large portion of my heart, even to this day when he's missing limbs. It's one of the reasons I love the "Gathering" and "Ascending" so much.

The first that I remember having were back when I was probably 5 or so, maybe a little older. I used to have a pair of Pretenders, Icepick and birdbrain (I think) as well as a PowerMaster Prime (no ultra magnus though). All since long gone due to age an the sad fact that being a child means you neither have nostalgia nor the ability to play with something without breaking it.

I dont remember what transformer i gto first, but my guess was the blue Cliffjumper or the yellow Bumblebee, but i remember the first transformer i bought for my own money and it was G1 Onslaught. Still havae all my transformers with all parts, but some have needed some repairs.

The first TF I remember having was Blaster. I remember going to a local toy store called Kiddie World. Every week my dad would give me $20 allowance and there I was getting a new TF. I had well over 100. Now they are all GONE. THANKS MOM!!! lol :sad:

I have recently started replacing some of my favorites though.

To be honest I have no clue as to which TF i got first. May have been G1 Jazz. Which I still have, but he looks like movie jazz after Megs does his thing

The first I bought with my own money(not new) I think is Rollbar.

Sadly my mind is to cluttered by the demands of adult life(bills, stuff for work et al.) to truly remember. But i strongly remember playing with G1 Ultar Magnus at my cousin's house, with Silverbolt of same series.

Mine was I believe Ultra Magnus. And One christmas I REEEEAALLLYY wanted Starscream but got Skywarp instead from my aunt instead :-(

Never got Starscream actually even to this day. Really do not know why lol XD I should get one that...

I don't remember my first childhood transformer... Though i do remember playing with the head of (G1?) Computron a lot probably when I was 6. And I remember playing a lot with G1 Soundwave. However, my first transformer that actually got me collecting them wasn't until jr. high, I was browsing through Toys R Us and saw Transmetal Rampage and thought, HOW FREAKING COOL IS THIS?! Man... that's when transformer toys had a great size to price ratio. The sizes went basic, deluxe, mega, ultra, and supreme vs today with legends, scout, deluxe, voyager, leader, supreme. I'd say the Ultras are bigger than voyagers and almost on par with the leader class, but ultras only cost 20 bucks! Damn inflation...
