Not a fan of Star Trek really, and I don't see why I'd pick captain over giant alien robot...so TransFormer definitely.

I would MUCH rather be a transformer. I like Star Trek, and I'd love to fly a ship (namely the Enterprise), but Transformers is my favorite show. If I were a real character, I'd probably be Blaster (I love to listen to and play music, and he has my kind of personality). If I WASN'T a real character, I'd be "Praxus Prime"! A white 1972 Pontiac Firebird!

well as we all should know I would be a Pit bull transformer!!!!!!! A companion and hunter and yeh I made my own character ref and all lol I got carried away but it was fun and I do plan on making a minicomic about it. Its supposed to be humurous and hilarious, b/c all the TF characters are turned into dogs by the angels of the primes they pissed off but yeah...its going to be freaking hilarious! Since the TF's dont appreciate thier lives as mechs the prime gods come down to earth and tell them they'll have to live as an organic life form, so they have more respect for them too, so yeah Decepticons and Autobots working together, this is gonna be good!!! Also they run into two "wild dogs" and thoses dogs kinda show them around and show them how to hunt and stuff, but yeah just wait till you see what happens when they figure out what hunger is, and pain and MEGATRON ACTUALLY GETS SCARED!!!!!!!! LAWLZ!!!!!!!

I don't see the really great perk to be a Star Trek Captain. Unless you're Kirk in the new Timeline you are probably deceased...
Meanwhile, Transformers are extremely powerful, immortal, and have access to a whole range of thought processes that a mere human could not begin to comprehend. Transformer for me too... especially if my alt mode is a Corellian YT-1300.

Well, that question really divides me down the middle.
Well, at first glance it seems like being a Transformer is the way to go. Nothing like being immortal, having alternate modes, being a walking talking piece of technological perfection, and hanging with the Autobots would be rule. The downsides: You're immortal, and your species' war ruined your home world, the rest of the universe would fear you (Autobot or not), and all your immortal friends would die as a result of this war. Also, Transformer culture that isn't war related is practically doesn't exist anymore, and all those resources that could've bring the culture back are spent on war.
A Star Trek Captain would get easily killed by a Transformer, shorter lifespan, and you're dependent upon the ship and the crew to get anything done. The flip side: Star Ship Captains of the Federation are welcomed or respected everywhere, cause they're everywhere. All your enemies have to conquer other species, but everyone wants to join your side. A good Federation Star ship can kill most Transformers with a single phaser blast, and the only Transformers that can put up a fight are biggest space flight capable ones, but your Federation fleets out number the hell out of them. Also, technically speaking your entire crew are certified geniuses with access to some amazing technology, while the transformers can count only a few true geniuses in their ranks. ST:TNG had dozens of episodes where they saved universes, planets, and people without firing a single shot, and you don't have to micro manage the crew at all.
Damn it all, I'll be a Transformer anyway, but only if I'm on par with Perceptor, Wheeljack and Fort Max in the science/tech skills.

I'd rather be captain Kirk, because he got to know many Aliens REALLY well.
However apart from that , i'd rather be a transformer so I can still travel anywhere I want with out transport, food or air needed to live.
Plus I will live long with millions of years to explore the galaxy.
