I emailed HTS yesterday asking when they would list the SDCC items on their site,and they replied this morning with:

Hello,

Thank you for your email as well as your interest in our products. We do plan to have the 2012 SDCC exclusives available for sale after the convention, which ran from 7/11-7/15. Unfortunately we cannot give you a precise day or time that the items will be scheduled to go live as there are several factors that come into play – leftover stock needs to be inventoried at the close of the convention, loaded onto trailers and shipped to our warehouse where it needs to be received, recounted and examined for damages and put into stock. At that point it will be available for sale. We ask that you check back on the site frequently following the close of the convention for the best opportunity to purchase. We do apologize, but due to the high demand and limited quantities of these items Hasbro does not offer any presales or item reservations.

But in all seriousness, I have their order phone number in my phone and I plan on calling in this year and avoiding the website. It's 1-800-224-4438 if it helps.

If I recall, they don't even bother answering for a while once the **** goes down. Either way, they enter orders using the same system...if it's overloaded, how can't they use it any more effectively than the rest of us? In other words, sorry to foil your master plan...

They will take orders over the phone, but they aren't accepting orders for the items until they are posted online. That leaves a small window and they do order from the same system.

It's very important to remember that while the Hasbro offices are in Rhode Island, the HTS warehouses are in California.

So we're waiting for them to finish inventory in PDT, not EDT.

EST. So we're definitely past that point. I'll also add that in the past few instances, we've seen preview pages emerge, prior to the sale. So my gut is telling me that today won't be the day.

It's always been Tuesday or Wednesday, however, so tomorrow for sure?
