Anyway, the 2nd one suffered a blow to the front bumper which broke off at his hip whilst in the... Toy box! Gutted!
I use to throw away the packaging for all the ones that came on cards. So, I was thinking that I would zip lock those ones and put them in a bin if I needed to store them for some reason. Is there a better way to store them?

I'd say as long as you bubble wrap everything and don't just stuff things in, leave room for things to move, you should be fine.

I was going to say, wouldn't bubble-wrapping solve the issue of things hitting each other?
And when I do hide everything, I only put them in boxes on single tiers, so no figure is weighing on another. Seems to have worked so far.
I think the biggest consideration in my case is: how much money would I be saving, if I weren't buying Transformers?

So yeah, I've been shoving them all into storage, only taking out some here and there to display. I try my best to store them, wrapping them in bubble wrap and whatnot, but I still have a top closet filled with boxes on top of each other. This breaks my heart since I know things are going to simply start getting damaged.
That's really the problem, I really enjoy collecting them, learning about new figures and snagging ones that fit into all my personal little subgroups, but the practicality of it is starting to weigh in more and more.

I used to have just a couple shelves for display, so I would rotate my collection frequently.
As for dust, I'm not sure why you say "you can never get dust off of Transformers". It's actually quite easy. I recently bought a load of loose figures that were covered in a thick layer of dust, and all it took was a few minutes with a very slightly damp cloth and a few Q-tips to get them looking brand-new again. If there's dust in little spaces you can't reach, a shot of compressed air will take care of it.
Don't let a lack of space or fear of dust prevent you from displaying your beloved figures!

My MP collections is done once Soundwave shows up. Unless they go back to the original MP scale. I will not buy the new size. Too small to be MP's.
My Classics collection will be done once I have every character on screen from the US G1 series.
I was collecting Alt/Binaltech, Animated, and Movie line and I realized that they didn't really fit into what I wanted. Quite frankly, if someone offered me the right price, I would sell all of those figures in a heartbeat.

Exactly this. When I just don't feel like it gives me any joy, I'll stop. If today is any indicator, then this won't ever happen. The time to "grow out" of things like this is long past, now I get quite a bit of satisfaction embracing a measure of my childhood. If I didnt collect toys, all I would have in my life would be work and bills...in other words, dreary.

I turned to buying figures with retarded pricetags. This stops me from buying too much. No money, no new TF's.

Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I am debating join buying FOC Bruticus. (Is he worth it some one?)
2. Prices must not go crazy high.
3. Quality must stay alright and prices can't go up and quality go down. Big no no.

same. Heck, considering I might have stuff on pre-order that gets autoshipped, maybe even after that!
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I think I may have to bring my own collecting to an end, once I find the final three figures for my displays: PRiD Skyquake, FoC Grimlock and FoC Starscream. Already on its way is my first and only third party figure, for the PCC shelf.
I.. think this is it. I'll keep on collecting comics, and will have a look at toys and won't say no once or twice a year, if something is REALLY good. But I think this is it for me.
