That tells me other collectors had already hit that store, probably with the UPC, since the case was brought from the back with only one set left. I would assume if a scalper had been there he/she would have grabbed all the Acree's.

It was a 2 days since I was there last, which means they were all gone in a day and a half tops. I don't know what the Arcee to Ratchet ratio is, but since they were all gone that fast I'm guessing it was a scalper.

When they hit my area, I bought two called a friend to tell him they were there (he had already bought one) and the last of the four was gone the next day.

The toys are matched one to one with four of each figure per case.

It's not like collectors aren't chomping at the bit to get these. Stores typically get one or two cases so far, selling 4-8 figures that are popular in less than two days is no big deal.

One scalper seems a lot more likely than half a dozen collectors just happening to come by in a day and a half.

Then you believe what you like to believe and I'll be content to go forth with my Arcee figures and a positive attitude on the matter.

If you took the time to find out just how many other TF fans you have in your area and who they are, you might have a better understanding of how these popular toys can leave the shelves so fast. Additionally, you might be able to say, "Hey buddy, grab me one of those fancy new figures if you happen to see them."

That's just my attitude towards it. Problem encountered? Find solution.

Complaining about scalpers and other such ghosts hasn't really netted any benefits yet eh?

Add this to the fact that there are only about 30 Arcees on e-bay right now...

Exactly, we know scalpers are out there, and since Arcee is only available at one store they're in short supply. My concern is how many are they going to have? The animated line has been dead for a while and the show isn't even on anymore, so I doubt we'll be drowning in them.

Were you ever around for the Camaro Concept Bumblebee fiasco? This is 10x more chill than that. Just relax, take a deep breath. You'll get your figure in dear time at a reasonable price. Don't kill yourself over it.

And trust me, I wish that the Transformers fandom never has to experience that CCB crap ever again.

This situation with Arcee was something I foresaw. Hasbro didn't because they thought Animated was a dying down toy line... two figures.. one for an Old man character and a female wouldn't sell well. WRONG.

They didn't take into account that this is the first Arcee with a 'car mode' since Transformers was created. Whatever. Arcee + Cybertron Mode Ratchet were meant for mass release at April. You'll see her soon enough.

Yeah I was around then, but the difference here is BB was sold everywhere and the toyline was still going. I knew this was going to happen too, and like you said hasbro may have underestimated the demand for it.

Well if you were ever around during that time, then you know there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. The Animated toyline will continue, even if the cartoon is dead. I will be extremely disappointed in Hasbro if they don't produce the figures that they showed off at Botcon last year. I know nothing is a guarantee, but I've got a gut feeling.

I aint seent shyit! (Yes, I ment to spell like that) At first, I was waiting for those Resistance toys that where suposed to be released at TRU in January, but didnt find them until Febuary, I still havent seen Arcee OR Ratchet yet. Although Ive only been to 1 Toys R Us in like a month, but still!

(DING!) PS: Ive been kepping my money from my mom giving me lunch money, and just not eating lunch to buy one of those Resistance figs, but I just remembered...I got to save up for ARCEE and RATCHET!

Yes, actually I was saying that if Arcee had been put out there everywhere and scalpers had descended like a plague of locust all over them, we'd probably see a lot more than 30 of them on e-bay.

In my case, I found a stray Cyb. Ratchet so I knew Arcee had been at my TRU. I just kept calling back when they told me to check since they knew when their trucks were arriving, and after a week or so they had one and set it aside for me. Actually not the hardest time I've ever had getting a figure...

Great minds think alike!

Back in the 80's, I was doing the exact same thing-deliberately starving during school so I could secretly put the lunch money towards TFs!!

I remember the 3 mile ride to TRU on my bike just like it was yesterday....

But back on topic.

I never had trouble finding the CC Bumblebee, but Arcee did give me a headache for a while. Eventually she did show up at one of my TRUs, UNLIKE most of the spring 2009 wave of Power Rangers RPM stuff. Talk about hear-tearing frustration. :BANG_HEAD:

Naw, but I am very impatient when it comes to toys...I must have...YESTERDAY! In all seriousness I was getting really frustrated checking daily for those blasted things. I'm just glad I don't really have to wait for anything until the Combiners and the War for Cybertron stuff comes out!

TRU Exton had a pair of Ratchets two weeks ago, so they are in the area! I take my sons there almost every Tuesday night so they can play on the train table and look at what's new, and they didn't have anything but two Freeway Jazz's last night, same two that have been sitting there for two weeks!

For the second time in a month, I'll be waking up early Saturday to be at Toys R Us when it opens. A truck is arriving this Friday night, which means there's a possibility Arcee and Ratchet will be there in the morning.

If all of us are busting our butts this hard to find Arcee, I can't imagine the lengths we'll have to go through to get Wingblade Prime.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything and I'm sure some of you don't have the capability to do this, but as much time and effort that has gone into hunting Arcee just pre-ordering the Takara version would have been easier and all things considered cheaper. That's why I've already pre-ordered Blackout, and I hope Takara releases the remaining unreleased figures as well. Hunting is fun and all, but gas, wear and tear on my vehicle, and my time are all valuable to me. Of course none of that matters if you are after Cyb Ratchet since he isn't slated to be released by Takara yet.

And Mechabooks, Your best bet would be to just to keep searching. I stalked 3 different TRU's every weekend since Arcee was first spotted stateside. And I just finally found mine last week. And it was on my second attempt that day because the first TRU I stopped by only had the 4 Cybertron Ratchets on the shelf.

This morning I ran into another collector looking for Arcee. He said he spoke to a clerk at a Toys R Us in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The clerk said that two weeks ago he placed a wave of Arcees and Ratchets on the peg, left the aisle to throw out the box, came back not even a minute later and they were ALL gone. Even the Ratchets.

This is getting stupid. Really stupid.

As much as I want Arcee, I'm not ging to get too worked up over it. I'm more of a Universe/Classics man and I'm still bummed over Henkie Red Alert and Convoy being very hard to find. As for my female fix, I just got Shadow Striker(Silhouette) and Roulette...so I am happy. I may go out to the Durham store tomorrow because my friend has been trying to use Arcee as leverage to trade, and now that I have seen her close-up, it's not enough to make me run out and hunt.

I don't know how new it is, but they have a flash movie on their website that says this fall. Of course, their last update was Aug 14th, so take that with a grain of salt.

Right, and that's what worries me. Because according to their updates, it could mean they meant last fall. The site itself seems to be in disrepair, which makes me wonder if they closed up shop and Arcee will never see the light of day. Boy would that suck. We're sooooo close to having a G1 Arcee. They possibly will be TRU exclusives since Target isn't carring it anymore and some Walmarts have clearanced the TFA items

I found Ratchet yesterday in my TRU here in New Port Richey and I have somebody sending me an Arcee.Have you preordered Arcee on bbts?
