hello I'm in the uk the only place to buy transformers near me is the Tunbridge wells toys r us and I use kapow toys on line.

Any advice on where are the best places in the real world and online to buy transformers?

UK Transformers buyers UNITE!

As Leaky mentioned, there is Omegalock, someone (Va'al I think) recently mentioned Masterforce and Kapow of course.
A few folk talk of the various Forbidden Planet stores who often stock imported TFs.

I have used Kapow and many an Ebay UK seller for Transformers, even bought one from Leaky, which he reminded me of earlier, so its always worth keeping an eye on the UK Sightings thread and Buying/Selling thread for titbits.

When looking around Toys R Us, supermarkets and discount stores gets too much, trusty Asia based suppliers can be a real bonus, not only on variety but also on price, such as Chimungmung, SirToys or Aces Toy Store who are both pretty good, and the bigger boys such as BBTS, TFSource or Robot Kingdom are all good.

Can't really add much to this, Kapow are great, however very popular therefore sell out very quickly, Omegalock (for some reason) seem to sell out later than Kapow. eBay is a regular source of delights, BUT not always cheapest, case in point bought Generations Skrapnel of eBay recently at what appeared to be a great price, then want to Kapow to check one of my pre orders to find Skrapnel about £5 cheaper. So shop around is my best advise, and if you find a good eBay seller save them for future reference.

I'd never even heard of omegalock before. What are they like on postage charges? Can't find any indication on their website.

If memory serves they charge about £4.50 postage, a bit more than Kapow, but some of thier prices work out cheaper overall.

Its a shame, possibly being the largest UK based online Transformers specialist retailer, that Kapow Toys doesnt offer a "Pile of Loot" type system?

Yeah that would be good, don't think it will happen though, aren't they supposed to be cutting down on 3rd party releases?

There's Masterforce UK - http://www.masterforce.co.uk/ - They're alright and usually still have a lot of stock in, they just got stock in of Generations Skids, Waspinator, Dreadwing and Goldfire/Gold Bug and others in the past couple of days.

Doubt you'll have much luck with non-online retailers though, they're too busy over stocking on the one step movie nonsense.
